why my arm not lift large redwood tree?
Because you aren't trying hard enough.

I have tested the same craft using the above mods, as well as without the above mods. For some odd reason enough Delta V to clear the Kerbin System only provides enough to provide an apoapsis 1/3 the way from the planet? The FPS seems to be constant between modded and unmodded. Any ideas?
-CPTBUG
It shouldn't be affecting Delta V at all. Do you have any other mods installed?

Banana Cabana.
Yes, no, or maybe so?

I've been working on creating a Laythe colony, and I've designed an interesting versatile exploration vehicle.
It seems like a plane at first - albeit with wheels.
\
It can fly like a plane as well, however, once landed...
Instead of designing a rover and a plane, why not make them both? The design was motivated by having an easy transportation system without having a large cargo plane or barge to transport the rover.
The lower half is a drone and has mining equipment. It can also fly independently. They can dock and redock at will. The cockpit can function as a rover, being able to drive long distances.

After some tweaking, I've gotten rid of the notch near the poles, and changed Roa's shape to it's final configuration (once I get rid of a seam)

Yes Duna? You are correct! Also, stop with the pinging!
-
Congratulations, you are correct!

Keeping in part of 0.4.1, the "Asteroids and Dwarves Update", introducing Roa's second moon, Yilara!
It's radius is 25 kilometers across, but unlike Fia it has a grey color instead of a rich mahogany color.

I've created a crude diagram explaining what the future of the Creeon sytem will be.
In my original plan, there were only two, Aralis and Zin. The reason why there were only two in the beginning, was such because I was afraid of creating too many planets and moons that resulted in the moons mostly being the same, but with different terrain, you run out of things to make it interesting. Now I've increased it to 9. GGCR stands for "Gas Giant Core Remnant". GGCR was once a gas giant and an original planet of Creeon, perhaps an ice giant like Uranus or Neptune IRL that was able to survive Creeon's supernova. Due to it's far distance and Creeon's relatively low mass, it only lost it's outer layers leaving it's rocky core. It has 3 moons, all of them captured dwarf planets.
-
I've created a (crude) diagram representing the expansion of Creeon's system from 2 bodies to 9.
GGCR stands for "Gas Giant Core Remnant." When Creeon went supernova, it destroyed most of this planet's outer layers, leaving a small remnant in it's place. It has 3 moons, all of them captured dwarf planets.

I've created Roa's moon - Fia, a small gilly sized moon.

Wrong! It's a Tic-tac.

After tweaking the shapemap even more, this is more or less the final result.
'
There is the fact that there is a sudden drop near the poles that I have to iron out, but I'm very happy with the base shapemap.

Tell people facts, and let them make their own decisions.
Doesn't usually work. Most of the time people are incredibly susceptible to misinformation, especially because almost 50% of all adults in the US alone get their news from Social Media, which isn't very reliable as it is. Besides, even if assuming that everyone knows the facts, not everyone would choose the right decision.

Alright, here's a preview of Roa, a small egg shaped planet.
Currently WIP. Colors will be changed and it's shapemap needs to be changed in order for it to be more smooth, but here's what it will look like:

why would ksp 2 be released in 2022?
For various reasons, COVID-19, the abrupt studio change back last winter, the game's vision and scope being expanded, etc.

Dres. What's it good for?
It's basically Mun; similar size, similar look. But it is much harder to reach. It's too small and too difficult to reach to use effectively for gravity assists.
And it has nothing remarkable. Really, why would one want to visit Dres, except to say "i've been there"? it has no personality. even Pol has something special about it, and it's a serious competitor for the title of "most useless rock around kerbol" otherwise.
the only remarkable thing about dres is its canyon. So i went and tried to drive my rover through it. I did drive my rover through Mun's canyons, and it was a marvelous experience. I could get speed, then i would find a crater rim and make a really cool jump. the canyon oriented north-south was especially good as a racing circuit. maybe the dres canyon would be a cool drive? maybe the planet would have this one redeeming quality?
Never. the surface is too irregular, the gravity is lower. whenever i try to get to speed, i lose control. worse, the surface is so rugged, it's a real danger. my rover is armored so that it won't take damage from crashing. indeed, i did drive it for hundreds of kilometers around mun, and i never broke anything at any speed below 35 m/s. I often survived unschated up to 40 m/s. But on Dres, I managed to break wheels already at half that speed. And the canyon? the bottom of the canyon is all angles, without any soft path. it's impossible to race through it.
i decided to go and vent a bit of my dres hating around
How dare you.
Would this make sense? Hiding systems in progression?

I would agree that it would be useless to "discover" the stars themselves, as we humans knew 6/8 planets in our solar system before the telescope was even invented. However, discovering the planets around the stars would make more sense.
