  1. Disappear like...really gone? Do you use any Heavy or Root Autostruts? When docking/undocking with crafts that have heavy autostruts it might cause the kraken to attack.(If there are heavier parts, long distance roots etc). If thats the case try to change them to grandparent or disabling them after they get in orbit.Maybe it will help.I had this happened before, after i reloaded the vessel a big part of it was just missing. (Silent Kraken attack .) !!Also make sure you do a save before trying switching autostruts in existing vessels. It might not go well!!
  2. Here are the stock values, maybe it will help to avoid doing a clean install etc. https://imgur.com/SRzE05T
  3. *edit look @4x4cheesecake for the correct answer . Some ideas but not really what you asked for: 1)You can reduce the Science Rewards from the Difficulty Options while ingame(if you feel science is too easy to come by), although that will affect every part of the science collected. 2)You can have only one scientist in the lab so you kinda need more time and balance it in some way.
  4. Make a clean install, load the game, make a new save. Then open your backup saves folder and copy everything EXCEPT the persistent.sfs files.Go to your new save folder and put those files there. I guees it might work? Some experimentation there, it has helped someone with a similar problem before. If it works you will have your save with some things missing but it is a salvage. Otherwise i have no idea whats happening on your save.Have you installed on a different drive?Maybe some permissions are changed...sry thats my last ideas.
  5. Depending on how i feel i do two things. First i check and fix what Geonovast said, seeing if the part you putting the wheels has the wrong symmetry.(wings etc). This might take a lot of time if you already completed a complex wing or a part of your craft. So sometimes i just place the wheels to a part that is making them snap the right way and i shift move them to the correct place. This might lead to some weird results if you crash the plane though, or well you can kinda ''cheese'' the system and make the wheels stronger by placing them in the main structural part of the plane.
  6. If you are on steam, go to Library->Right Click Kerbal->Properties->Betas Menu->Select the version your original savegame was->Close. Try loading the Savegame now, if it all works save the game again, maybe with a different name, Close the game and go to Betas Menu and Opt out of all Betas so it will update back to 1.7 If the savegame doesnt load might need some more info of whats wrong, any mods although this is the unmodded section.Or i guess more info so someone else can give a better solution.
  7. I would suggest trying KER or Mechjeb to compare the DV values(Although i suspect they might be off as well). If ofcourse you are open to mod usage.Otherwise uhhhh i hope they improve the DV calculations. If you try these mods put them with this, it removes the need to place the Mechjeb and Ker Part in your craft.(If you want to keep your craft completely stock)
  8. Ok that makes sense.I am just trying to build somewhat a fantastic set of rules that the Kerbal universe follows without going very far away from our world .
  9. Hmm but sometimes when temperature rises a lot and you EVA after landing etc, sometimes the Kerbal is already red and has the temperature gauge. Is that because he touches the outside of the craft or he is already HOT inside the craft from the re entry?
  10. Uhhh did it actually say that or is your defence response for the kraken attack?
  11. When they are inside crew modules, space stations, vessels etc.The internal temp of my Kerbin space station shows a whooping 200K, -76C or something close to that.
  12. I tried to search but i couldnt find much info on this. I activated the Internal Temp GUI from the cheat menu and i saw that most of my Kerbals live in way below zero temperatures. Are they ok with it?Is Internal Temp not the temperature they have inside the modules? I wonder if there is some sort of explanation, for now i just imagine they have a build in system to live in more normal temperatures.
  13. Hmm i wonder happens if you put the engines in the upper tank.If DV is correct then you can just Shift move them wherever you want them to be.
  14. Can you check if the Fuel Priorities have the same number?I find that changing them completely destroys DV calculations. When i get home i am gonna try to replicate this bug, although i had the same problems already in similirar crafts. I hope it gets fixed soon .
  15. Maybe put the engines shutdown/toggle in an Action group like number 1 and hit it the moment you want them off. It should help a bit more, havent tested it though. There is also a great mod for putting action groups while in flight (if you dont want to launch the vessel again).
  16. You can do all sort of stuff from there, even get in orbits to test crafts etc.I am glad you got it fixed .
  17. Alt+F12 is the Debug/Cheat Menu of the Game(You can do many many things from there). https://imgur.com/qOER8MF Press the Facilities button. Rightshift+F12 For linux maybe. Not sure, google it a bit more .
  18. Have you tried upgrading the buildings from the Alt+F12 Menu?
  19. I should add that changing fuel priorities, rotating parts like engine plates and as above the docking/undocking makes the DV calculations almost always wrong. Also sometimes it shows red, like you have zero DV left in the Burn Indicator. I havent seen many threads about this matter so i am guessing most people just use a mod to calculate it. I hope thats the case and i am not one of the few people that are dealing with this bug.
  20. If i have a game i love and enjoy for thousand hours, i am gonna buy every single gameplay DLC. Yes i will be patient and wait for discounts(Cause money is rough). But i will never be on ease knowing that i am not enjoying the ''whole'' game. I am always hoping that some of the money find their way to the developers and help in keeping their jobs and making more content-games.
  21. Be very careful when using HEAVIEST part. When you dock with something that has a heavier part you might call the kraken the moment you undock! Also RIgid Attachment will frequently cause your craft to rip apart!(Landing, Docking/Aero forces etc, smashing in stuff accidentally) I recommend using Grandparent and Root if you have a really tall rocket to launch! After it hits orbit make sure you switch the heaviest or root autostrut back to grandparent just in case! Hitting Alt+F12 and selecting the Visualize Autostrut is a very effective way to make sure you have a good ''tree'' of grandparent autostruts so the whole thing is strong.
  22. I think i read on PC Gamer that will be a ''robotics'' mode, i am guessing like Docking Mode, where we will operate the robotics.
  23. There was a movie, [snip] that scared me so much i couldnt see it.That you had to buy oxygen or something.
  24. Well i guess going downwards, orange tank in bottom.Hmm that picture looks the fine/correct way! Thanks for that, it really helps.I ll stick to the orange tanks placement . Does the game handle it the same way?I didnt know that.Eitherway its more of a how it would be in real life thing.
  25. Sometimes its good to have some patience when reading a post. He is saying that he noticed familiar constellations in the NEW skybox. That means he knows its new but he wants to ask if someone else noticed what he did.
