totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?

I discovered this, and now my life is changed forever. http://freegifmaker.me/youtube-to-gif/ -
linux 1.5.1 not working..
Geonovast replied to Parv Kerman's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Is it executable? -
I said it was easier, I didn't say it was cheaper.

You won't just magically get captured by Minmus. You need to set up the counter, then burn retrograde at your encounter's PE to actually get into orbit. Unless the encounter itself is what you're having a problem with. Why are you changing inclination halfway? It's much easier to do that in LKO. Minmus' SOI is also much smaller than the Mun's, so you may just not be close enough for the encounter. Can you get some map view screenshots? Will help quite a bit.

I dunno about you, but I get really worried when a new design works the first time.

I need to do one of these some year. -
I'm getting... moderately ok at this.
-
I've never had problems either way.

Pics, pics, pics! Are you sure you're attaching to the fuel tank, and not an engine shroud? Also, it's usually much easier to attach to the fuel tank first, in the same symmetry as you attached the boosters, then pull it out to the nosecones. You can have too extreme an angle, and you may also be trying to pull them too far. It's impossible to say what's going on without seeing what you have.

I reckon this game will appeal to more than a few on this forum.

Looks neat. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if they'll do a Linux release. -
Tonight we found out that we can get Rib Crib delivered with one of those third party delivery places. I am no longer craving pulled pork.

Cat-proofed my computer. Edit: This is supposed to be vertical. -
Problems with RAPIERs
Geonovast replied to nathan.k436's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
If you zoom out enough, your FPS will go up significantly. -
My answer was more RAM and an i7. Part count optimization was never really my thing.

Can someone send me an RSS download?
Geonovast replied to Natokerbal's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
A lot of mods don't allow re-distribution either. It's gonna be best to just diagnose why it's not working, all around. -
Do you play KSP only or are you into lots of games?
Geonovast replied to Klapaucius's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Playing that right now! Actually bought it for my nephew last weekend, so got in quite a bit of playing with a new player! Drove me nuts too until I found out that you can manually set if an intersection has stoplights or stopsigns, and you can pick which roads have stopsigns. It got ... a little better. I also build diverging diamonds for highway intersections whenever possible. -
Universal Storage II [1.3.1 and 1.4.5 - 1.7.0]
Geonovast replied to Paul Kingtiger's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I wasn't thinking of its own part, but just another switch on the hex and octo cores. Crew Tube/Monopropellant/LFO/Xenon/CrewCabin so we could actually store kerbals inside the core. Is that doable?- 1,554 replies

It's possible. Can you access cubeupload.com? It's the one I use, and @Gargamel hates me for it.
-
No, it's not. Click the link in the spoiler. The first two results are the same picture as the one you posted, yours just has that lens flare added.

Nav Ball mod
Geonovast replied to dukebg@msn.com's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
That's where they always are. If you're playing career, your pilots just aren't experienced enough yet. -
Universal Storage II [1.3.1 and 1.4.5 - 1.7.0]
Geonovast replied to Paul Kingtiger's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is there a special place for wedge requests? Cause I never stop having ideas for wedges. You guys are doing outstanding work, and these are by no means "OMG I wants" but just some ideas I've had, sorry if they've been requested before. If I had any modding ability whatsoever, I'd be making wedge packs! Deployable solar panels. Deployable high gain / relay antennas. Short deployable sticks with RCS thrusters. Very small decouplers to make the wedges eject-able. Eject-able fairings (look/feel of what you have now, but eject-able) Deployable landing legs! Crew cabins in addition to the crew tubes. Deployable ladders. Basically I want to make USII-only ships.- 1,554 replies

But that picture's not from KSP?

If I'm not mistaken, TAC has a difficulty option for background processing that you can toggle on and off whenever you wish. I play with Deepfreeze too, but haven't used it in a long time. I'd like to be able to use them for, say, escape pods, but with a relatively high chance of fatality on thawing (say 10-15%). Basically so they're available, but you don't want to use them unless you have to.
-
Lol, sorry. I like my LS with a little Thunder
-
Not for kerbal consumption, but I believe there's some fuel cell re balancing going on, which my calculator take into account. So once the new USII release is out (There some other exciting new features announced too, I believe!) I might start a serious game again. Which is good, USII is a phenomenal mod, and they can take their sweet time to make it even more awesome. I don't mind a silly KSP break
