Agreed. A balanced 1.25m Ion engine would be awesome.

I wonder if that's why Left4Dead doesn't work. Menus load, lets you pick a lever and character, but locks up when you actually try to start a game.
-
Breathedge, but it is in development ATM, so I'm not too worried about it. I might have better luck if I'd gotten the Steam version instead of the GoG version, assuming there's even a Steam Play wrapper available for it.
-
I like 4, 5, and 6. I do not like 1, 2, and 3, except I do think podracers are neat, and anything with Liam Neeson is at least partially watchable. 7 was... ok. I didn't really care for 8 or Rogue One. I have not watched Solo or The Holiday Special. I think the TV series on Cartoon Network is abysmal. The Clone Wars mini series thing by Genndy Tartakovsky, however, is great.

If you have a lot of Steam games, you can also read into Steam Play. Steam's been pushing for custom, no user config WINE wrappers for each Windows only game to be able to play on Linux. I've had mixed results so far. But I feel ya. I have a dual boot LM/Windows 10 just for one stubborn game that refuses to play in WINE. (It starts and does the intro... then sticks to a black screen when you continue.)

[1.3] Kerbal Joint Reinforcement v3.3.3 7/24/17
Geonovast replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I see you have modulemanager.dll in the Install.md file. Is it required, somehow, or is it just there for an example?- 2,647 replies

Hm.. Never heard of it. I'm gonna have to read up on that. One of my laptops isn't the newest, and while it technically meets Mint's minimums, it doesn't run that great. Might be worth a try. I wish. I've got three servers running Ubuntu at work, but unfortunately we work on a lot of antiquated stuff that is very Windows exclusive, so all the desktops are Windows.

Since you lean more towards TOS, did you ever watch the animated series? The first two seasons, like TNG and DS9, are not great. But it picks up and gets a lot better.

In the house we have... 2 Desktops running Linux Mint 18.3 with the MATE desktop. 2 Desktops running Linux Mint 18.2 with the MATE desktop. 1 Desktop running Linux Mint 18.3 with the MATE desktop dual booting with Windows 10. 5 Laptops running Linux Mint 18.3 with the MATE desktop. 3 Servers running Ubuntu 16.04 server. 1 Server running PFSense 2.4.4. 4 Raspberry Pis running Raspbian... something. Whatever comes with the Octoprint image. No DEs on any of them.

You're dead to me{.} I've seen every episode no less than 12 times. My daughter is actually named after two of the DS9 characters. That's.... good. Enterprise, if not considered Star Trek, is watchable. DO NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, watch the finale. It makes the first movie look good. It's one of my favorite movies ever. I frequently get on a Sam Rockwell kick and have to watch Galaxy Quest, Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, and Iron Man 2. Moon's good too.

Hello! So are you a Linux user, or do you just like penguins?
-
You can complete a contract by using the Alt + F12 menu.
-
My daughter goes to sleep every night watching Star Trek IV or V. Sometimes VI, but not often. Also once in awhile III. II once I think. Never the first one.

Banned according to the prophecy.

Did you go straight up to get to "Orbit", or did you do a gravity turn and just accidentally pushed too hard to escape velocity? It's pretty hard to accidentally leave Kerbin's SOI if you're launching to a low orbit. Going straight up and getting to space isn't orbit, it's just space. If that's what you did, even if you aren't leaving Kerbin's SOI, you're still going to crash back down pretty hard. Some screenshots, especially from map view, would help greatly.

Yes. I used to leave LKO... Right now waiting on USII to finish their re-balance so I can rebuild my LS calc.

I don't think it should get that specific. I think that should stay in mod territory, like MechJeb. However I would love a "Place maneuver node at AP / PE / AN / DN" button in stock. Also AN/DN markers with no target selected relative to the orbited body's equator with said button would be spiffy.

totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
Geonovast replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
After a power outage caused some issues at work yesterday, I finally got around to configuring apcupsd on all three servers there to shut down properly in the event of 25% charge of the UPS. Since I just recently got a new APC UPS with a USB port for my KSP computer, I plugged it in last night. Without having to do a thing, I was greeted with a few new toys. -
Had a stage just up and disappear while putting some other ones out of order. This was new.

Adding any mod will increase loading times. How much will depend heavily on your specific hardware, not because it's a Mac. Why not just install it and see what happens? If you don't like it you can always just remove it.
