It's quite possible your 'normal' persistent.sfs file is corrupted. You can take the most recent file in the Backup folder, or if you have a recent Quicksave file, and just rename it to persistent.sfs with it being in your save's main folder. Then try to load the game again. I'm also going to suggest picking up even a cheap UPS, if you can. I have all my computers that matter on them, and I think WalMart has cheap ones for about $40. They're very nice to have in the even of power outages.

Making oxidizer isn't any different than making Liquid Fuel. The convert-o-trons have several options. Making Liquid Fuel (LqdFuel), Oxidizer (Ox), Liquid Fuel and Oxidizer (Lf + Ox), or Monopropellant (Monoprop) Most of the time you're just going to use the Lf + Ox option, since it will produce them at the same time in the ratio you need.

something wrong with relays
Geonovast replied to cikho's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
The HG-55 is not a relay antenna. The HG-5 is, but it's not going to reach Kerbin from Duna. You're showing a connection between the lander and carrier because of the HG-5 on the lander, but it's only between those two. The signal from Kerbin you're getting on the carrier with the HG-55 cannot be relayed back to the lander, and vice versa. Only the RA-2 RA-15, RA-100 and HG-5 antennas are relays. I think you're going to want a RA-15 or RA-100 for the carrier. -
@Melford I've moved your question to Kerbal Network, since it's about the forums. Here's a handy guide for new members that should explain the post approval process. There's only a couple of us, and we're all part time, so we try to get to them when we can.

Hello again, @Melford! I've moved your introduction to our Welcome Aboard section, where we all come to introduce ourselves!

Geonovast replied to flywlyx's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@flywlyx We're sorry, but we've had to remove the download links from your post due to the source code not being available, and no license present in the download file. Please feel free to restore your link after the above issues have been taken care of. Thank you for your understanding. -

Greetings, @ZapB, and welcome aboard! Bad news: It looks like you do have a corrupted save. Good news: You should be able to recover at least most of your progress. Inside the save's folder, there's another folder called "Backup". In there should be 5 save files, with date and time as part of their filename. In the save's main folder, find the file called persistent.sfs, and rename it to something else - like persistent-org.sfs. Just in case. Now copy the most current save from the Backup folder to the main folder. Rename that file to persistent.sfs. Then try to re-load the game. If that doesn't work, delete the new persistent.sfs and try the second most recent, and so on. There's a good chance one of them will bring your game back. You might lose a couple hours worth of progress, but that's much better than the whole thing.

@AstroPawian, My guess would be so that when people are making instructional videos, the people watching said videos will know which keys are being pressed and when to associate them with the actions they're seeing in the video. Similar to a lot of Blender tutorials I've seen, where they install an add-on that displays which keys are being pressed. Also, moving to Add-on Discussions.

Posts within the Lounge and Forum games do not count toward your actual post count. If you make one more meaningful post outside of the lounge, you'll no longer need approval.

Hello, @Steve C., and welcome to the forum! To attach pictures you will need to host them somewhere else, like Imgur, and post the link here. The forum itself does not host images.

Thread merged with the Spacedock master thread. @AstroPawian, your posts have been merged here, into the Spacedock thread. Unfortunately, it does seem that Spacedock is having issues right now. This is the best place to check for updates and report problems.

Yes, they're based on post count, but I don't remember how many is what. I don't remember even getting my 5th dot. Also, moving to Kerbal Network since it's a question about the forums.

strutCube Missing
Geonovast replied to Commodore_32's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I was hoping you'd come back, since I just loaded the thing into my primary install, which has NFC, and the plane loaded fine. I see the paths now. I missed that since I just did a search for strutCube. -

Geonovast replied to Commodore_32's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I think I might see the problem with a NearFutureConstruction patch. It appears that it's destroying the stock mesh. I believe this is because it replaces it with a switchable mesh. Can you try temporarily removing NearFutureConstruction and trying to load the ship? -

Geonovast replied to Commodore_32's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
First thing I would do is a simple file validation on Steam. To do this, right click on the game, go to Properties, Local Files tab, and click on Verify Integrity Of Game Files. Since you posted this question under modded installs, what kind of mods are you running? I'm wondering if there's a mod causing the issue. -
strutCube Missing
Geonovast replied to Commodore_32's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Well even though the folder is called strutCubeOcto, and the config file is named strutCubeOcto.cfg, the actual part name is called 'strutCube'. And that's what the game is going off of. We might need some logs here. Instructions on how to do so are in this thread: -

And you've confirmed you do not have the part in Squad/Parts/Structural/strutCubicOcto? Looks like you might have a bad install / upgrade. If you're on Steam, you can do a file validation and that should correct the problem. If you have the GoG version or the KSP store version, you may want to do a re-install.
