Poor Bill! Oh well, he'll find his way back eventually. Moving to Mission Reports.

Loading Time
Geonovast replied to PositronLance001's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Your main problem wasn't necessarily that you were on a HDD, it was that you were on an old HDD. There are quite a few things that can affect the loading time. Some full specs of the computer would help. Dell Inspiron 3000 and "a decent computer" doesn't tell us anything. If you can't find the specs yourself, we should be able to get everything from the Service Tag, which is on a sticker somewhere on the computer. Did KSP ever load normally? Did this happen with the recent update? -
Issue with Atlas/Gemini for KSP 1.8.1...
Geonovast replied to jbarry39's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Moved to Add-on Discussions. Good luck with your issue, @jbarry39 -
Indeed, that makes sense. I've seen good resin printers spit out parts that look injection molded. I have cheap printers, and while I was impressed with how detailed they can go, it's definitely nothing compared to resin. You can get incredibly small nozzles, down to 0.01mm (0.04 is standard on most printers), but then it takes forever to print anything.

You can hire new Kerbals from the Astronaut Complex, which is the building next to the spaceplane hangar. You can also access this building from the crew selection menu inside the VAB or SPH. Or get free ones by completing rescue contracts. You can also bring up the debug menu using Alt+F12 and "cheat" kerbals into existence. With this method, you choose their names and stats though, so any funny ones made that way would be cheating.

totm march 2020 So what song is stuck in your head today?
Geonovast replied to SmileyTRex's topic in The Lounge
This has been stuck in my head pretty consistently since the album came out. -
You know why you're banned.

Your reaction at 1:42 is exactly me, every time I've tried to land something in the last couple versions.

@championofcyrodiil, hello and welcome to the forum! What you've run into isn't a bug. When you timewarp, physics stops working, therefore your shuttle and its captured part literally stop hitting each other, which causes them to pass through each other. And since the part was suborbital, it would have been deleted when it got too low, akin to burning up in atmo. To get around this, you'll either just have to wait it out, or use physics warp. This is a slower timewarp that allows physics calculations to still be done while warping. This does have its own problems, though, so quicksave before you try. To do this, hold alt (I believe it's alt on Windows - it's right shift on Linux) and then tap the > key.

Banned for having the same numbers in your post count as your rep count, albeit in a different order.

Something to show which side is which on parts
Geonovast replied to Conz's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I wouldn't mind some kind of control point "forward" and "up" indicators. Not just for docking ports, but for the probe cores too. I'm not always certain that a probe core that has been rotated will keep the orientation. -
I can't believe I'm playing stock. Well, testing a design. Not really playing.

Welcome aboard, @TheKSPKerbalGuy! If you need help with posting pictures, as the forum itself does not host images, please check the link in my signature for a guide.

Practially? Definitely. But as someone who struggled with it for a long time, then finally figured it out, then stopped for awhile and promptly forgot how to build/fly them, once you get it down, they're incredibly satisfying to fly. That said, as stated above, until we can see what you have, there's no a whole lot of advice that can be given.

This is entirely based on use case. So all in all it's going to depend on what "other things" are. What do you do with your computer, other than play KSP? I use Linux myself. Never had any interest in Mac and Windows and I do not get along anymore. For what I do with my computer, it works just fine. But that may not be the case for you.

Room to Maneuver display
Geonovast replied to Gadget's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Moving to Gameplay Questions. Welcome aboard, @Gadget! I don't know the details, but I'm fairly sure you need to unlock some building upgrades to get all the information on that new tab. -
What if renaming a thread would get it up, like the new posts do?
Geonovast replied to kerbiloid's topic in Kerbal Network
Unfortunately the forum software doesn't support a feature like that. -

Hello, @PuffleFuzz, and welcome to the forums! I've also always been a huge shuttle fan, even when I was a kid. Unfortunately my very first experience was watching the Columbia's re-entry in 2003 on the news. I did finally get to see one in person a few months ago, Discovery over in Virginia. I think you'll find the Space Shuttles are rather tricky to build in KSP, so good luck!
