  1. Speaking of. https://www.imdb.com/news/ni62712289?pf_rd_m=A2FGELUUNOQJNL&pf_rd_p=b688335a-3266-4b15-ab7b-ab8edbc4b1c4&pf_rd_r=7A3G1QS50ESX0FHVZ5C3&pf_rd_s=center-6&pf_rd_t=15061&pf_rd_i=homepage&ref_=hm_nw_tp1
  2. I'm using it just fine in 1.8.1. Just because a mod isn't officially updated for the current version, doesn't mean it doesn't work, especially with part mods.
  3. Hello, @Mahh70. Sorry to hear you're having trouble, unfortunately you haven't provided any details that can be used to assist you. Please see this for some tips on the type of information that should be provided when looking for help: Also I'm moving this to Modded Tech Support.
  4. I thought they weren't trying to recover yet?
  5. @HUG, I've merged your comment into the grand discussion thread for this release. Glad it's working well for you.
  6. Hello, @Yamiko Hikari, and welcome to the forum! I'm glad you got it figured out. You can't delete your own posts. But even if you could, it would be best to leave questions up as they can help other people in the future. Thank you for updating with the solution!
  7. Probably depends on the contract with the customer.
  8. Sale over. Until next time.
  9. Halo: Reach came to Steam yesterday. So, that. I may have to knock it up a notch. I always played on Heroic on my Xbox, but now that I'm using a keyboard/mouse, it almost seems... easy. I might have to start playing on Legendary. I guess using a controller really has been holding me back all this time.
  10. Greetings, @Arco123 I've split your question off to its own thread in the proper subforum for this type of question. The thread you posted in is meant for little questions about real-life spaceflight. Good luck with your quest
  11. What is dead may never die.
  12. @Okhin, I've split your question off into its own thread in what I believe is the right area. You are looking for a mod, correct? The thread you posted your question in is for small questions relating to real-life science and spaceflight.
  13. Check this Link for KSP sales on any site! KSP Store: https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/store/ Steam: 75% Off https://store.steampowered.com/app/220200/Kerbal_Space_Program/ GOG: 75% Off https://www.gog.com/game/kerbal_space_program
  14. Semi-major Axis. For a circular orbit, which your orbit will be if you don't touch the eccentricity setting, the orbit's altitude will be the height from the planet's center. Kerbin has a radius of 600,000 meters, so for kerbin it will default to ~ 686,000 meters. So your orbit above sea level will be about 86km. So set your semi-major axis to whatever you want your orbital height above sea level to be, plus 600,000.
  15. Is there something specific that you need HyperEdit for this? If you're just doing basic orbits, you can use the stock functionality to put stuff into orbit, using the debug/cheat menu. That's accessed by (On Windows, which I'm assuming you're using) holding Alt and pressing F12. There's a "Set Orbit" option under Cheats on the left side.
  16. Some concerns here, mainly your amount of RAM. KSP itself is going to need all of that, and then some. Even if you're running nothing else, you're going to swapping(paging) a lot. Which brings us back to this: How did it "Crash"? If you mean you turned it on and it suddenly didn't have a bootable operating system, then I fear for your storage device. Especially if it's the original. Your processor tells me your computer is ten years old. That's old for a PC, especially for the harddrive inside of it. If your harddrive is dying, then your OS won't be able to page very well, at all, and those two symptoms are going to cause you a whole mess of weird problems. If a new computer isn't feasible, then I would do two things: Get a cheap, small capacity SSD for it. 120 GB SSDs can be had for under $20. 240s for less than $30. Replace your likely dying HDD. See if there is any chance you can get more physical memory into it. DE is Desktop environment. For Linux Mint, the most common DEs are Cinnamon, MATE, and xfce. Cinnamon is the most common and I have a feeling that's what you're using. It's also the heaviest in resource usage. On that computer I would run xfce. Since you didn't specify a graphics card, I'm going to assume you are using the on-board graphics, in which case you won't need to do anything with your graphics drivers.
  17. What are the rest of the specs of your computer? Is there a specific reason you're sticking to 17? IIRC 19.2 is the most current version and 19.3 should be out soon. Also, why install 17.1 and then go to 17.3? Why not just install 17.3? 17.3 has hit End Of Life. Which DE? Do you have the correct GPU drivers installed? Personally I would install a currently supported version of mint (18.3 is still my go-to for most installs), get it fully updated including the kernel, make sure the correct GPU drivers are in (if you have a separate GPU), then give it a try. I've run KSP on many LM computers and not had a single one fail.
  18. That's all well and good if it was only meant to land on Earth. You still need all the powered landing stuff to land... everywhere else.
  19. Moved to Gameplay Question from Tutorials since this isn't a guide on how to do something. What you want to look at for vacuum engines is the engine ISP (Vac). This is essentially a measure of how efficient the engine is in a vacuum. The higher the number, the better, as long as all you care about is efficiency in space. You'll need to balance that against the engine's weight. If you're using the engine to leave or enter a SOI, or using it to land, then actual thrust will matter as well.
