  1. I don't remember what half of these were even for anymore... And this is just on this computer.
  2. 10/10 I'm pretty sure I have a stalker.
  3. F1 is cumbersome, especially if you're frantically trying to not crash but want screenies anyway. This is why I have the 'back' button on my mouse mapped to do screenshots. ('forward' toggles map view and cycles symmetry in the editor) The automated screenshot mod is handy too.
  4. Stock? None. Joystick support is currently completely broken on Linux. Has been for... awhile. I have not heard of any that do actually work since 1.3.1. Unfortunately the only option for us currently is AFBW.
  5. That would depend on how much of a push it got. I'm talking very, very little. Just enough so that it's engine-first when it hits the relevant part of the atmosphere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. Could they put something inside the interstage, some sort of fin or ramp, that would cause it to flip from the exhaust of the second stage?
  7. I was sticking with 1.3.1 for quite some time, until 1.6.1 rolled out. My main install is now 1.7.2, although I have every version from 1.3 to 1.7.3 installed (except 1.4.0 since GoG didn't bother with it, and 1.4.4 since that came out during a hiatus, so I don't have the installer). There are some features in 1.7.3 I really like, but I haven't had a need for them yet.
  8. Yeah. I don't think they're equipped to catch both halves yet. I wish I could watch it, but it just jumped around and says the media cannot be displayed, as if the file's been corrupted.
  9. You appear to have AECS motion suppressor. That mod will disable gimbaling if there's no throttle applied, so maybe there's some kind of issue going on with that. If you remove that mod, does it fix the issue?
  10. It's definitely more budget-concious RAM, but really unless you specifically need the higher end stuff, it's fine. I just can't believe the price difference of that stuff now. When I got the first kit, it was on sale for $270ish, I got the second kit 9 months later on sale for $142. Identical product. It really sucks realizing how much money I could have saved if I built my computer a bit later.
  11. Considering I've had just KSP run over 20GB, with your workload I would definitely go with 32, although you could get cheaper RAM. I've got two of these kits, every desktop I've built in the last few years has had Ripjaws, and I've had zero problems with them. I've never heard that either, and it makes zero sense. What's important regarding 2 sticks or 4 in a 4 slot board is which slots you put the two sticks in to make sure you're using dual channel. I was debating the very same 2 x 16 or 4 x 8 before, and it was encouraged to go 2 x 16 - but only because of the upgradability later on, not because it functions better. I'm going to need to see some kind of source on this.
  12. I don't know if that would be awesome or depressing.
  13. I wonder if they track the number of people who watch these streams and if there's a significant dip for the expendable launches. There is for me, anyway, since I primarily watch for the landings and won't be going out of my way to watch this one.
  14. 1. Back Up Your Save 2. Back out of your game to the main menu. 3. Open up persistent.sfs in a text editor. 4. Search for the line "BypassEntryPurchaseAfterResearch = False" 5. Change it to True. 6. Save and reload the save. I did a quick test on a new career and it seemed to work alright. Weird that they don't include it in any of the settings menus.
  15. About... Freaking... TIME! There have been... several chances. To be fair, I haven't actually tried to land on the pad with most of them. But my computer is starting to get a little irritated when I get about 2.2km above the ground. Even panning the camera has become iffy.
  16. Funny, I was just coming here to say Minecraft. My daughter turned 10 on Saturday, and for her birthday, she wanted Minecraft, and she wanted me to get two copies so we could play together. I was rather pleased to see that they provide a .deb file to install now!
  17. It should have the height specified in the contract. It'll also tell you when you're entering the area. If you believe you have satisfied the contract, then you can just complete it using the Alt+F12 menu. They do bug out sometimes.
  18. Last night I destroyed my phone by running it in the washing machine.... again.

I should not be allowed to have a cell phone.

What about an intelligent system? Alarming users when a foreign object is left in it. It would save phones, money, and a bunch of wallets...

I think the best bet would be to get one of those washers that you can control with your phone, and then disable local control... so I have to use my phone to start it.

You know, spend like $3k because I broke a $100 phone. (Maybe... It's still sitting in front of a fan... which probably won't do much since cell phone manufacturers have decided the preventing us from opening then thing up is good for us.)

  19. KJR applies to every joint, automatically. KJR does not involve guesswork that needs to be adjusted for each craft and possibly in flight. It's stronger and more reliable than autostruts. It's not perfect, but it is way, way better than the autostrut bandaid.
  20. That solely depends on the laptop. I recently upgraded the RAM in mine. PM me the model number and I'll look into it for ya.
  21. RAM is actually really cheap right now, at least DDR4 is. If your computer can handle more, it's probably a good time to get some.
  22. You use a Tesla bulldozer that runs on the power of the sun.
