  1. You're thinking of the B9 procederal wings mod, which allows you to make wings in any shape you desire:
  2. Did some testing in my main install, making sure all the mods are working correctly before I start science mode. I mostly just built things, however: https://imgur.com/a/xzkeFjR
  3. My 1.4.5 install took 15 minutes to load, though upgrading to 1.7.3 (with the same mod list) seemed to decrease it down to around 10. While I could get an external SSD, I don't like the thought of the cord coming out and corrupting my game, so I'll stick with this time, for now.
  4. Most people are going to say Galileo's, but I find its planets to be samey and boring. If you want to play the game like normal, try out the Outer Planets Mod, or if you want a total revamp, try Alternis Kerbol Rekerjiggered. Personally, my favorite pack is the little-known Uncharted Lands. All bodies are procedurally generated, and are beautiful and stockalike at the same time.
  5. Probably a suit designed for exploring the oceans of Kerbin, Eve, and Laythe, looking something like this: We already have the Retro/Modern/Futuristic lineup for the suits, so why not do something different?
  6. Since there doesn't appear to be a RealPlume thread, I'll ask this here: Is there any way to change the offset of a shock cone in a part config, like there is for the flares and plumes? I've tried "shock" and "shockcone", but neither did anything.
  7. Say you modify a piston engine to be able to function in non-oxygenated atmospheres, by using an internal oxidizer supply instead of air from the environment. Would this be more efficient then using rockets?
  8. I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet, but old versions of Kopernicus Expansion allowed you to create mobs. It was removed in the updated version due to being unnecessary and unfinished, though: https://imgur.com/a/xyXxE
  9. If you create a shrunk version of a robotics part with Module Manager, attach something to it, and reload the craft, the part attached will be somehow shrunk as well: This seemingly works with any part in the game, and possibly can be used to grow parts as well. I haven't tested it, though.
  10. Full control over my sleep/wake cycle, so that I can easily sleep at night, and stay awake during the day.
  11. iirc, they changed the EVA reports in 1.5 to indicate that Kerbals can indeed breathe, but the air smells funny. I imagine it smells something like the Salton Sea, given the high salt concentrations necessary to keep the oceans liquid.
  12. Most people are going to say Breaking Ground, but I actually liked Making History more. 1.875m parts are an amazing addition, and the stockalike historical parts were something that few mods did (BDB parts were very linear and unflexable, VSR parts had annoying boattails, etc).
  13. Not today, but I made an Apollo recreation mission in celebration of the 50th anniversary: https://imgur.com/a/v5CkuUH
  14. It's probably possible, but it would take an insane amount of effort.
  15. This is a problem that has steadily gotten worse over time, and it's reached the point where I feel I need to talk about it: The sheer volume of planet pack threads being posted on this forum. Most of these threads are simply ideas, with no downloads or images, as work hasn't even started on them. In most cases, they're abandoned almost immediately after being posted. On the Add-on Development section, I counted 5 of these "non-packs" on the first page alone. Something must be done about this, in my opinion.
  16. Normals can definitely be used for ground textures though, RSS does it.
  17. I can't believe the immaturity I'm seeing in this thread. It's a short delay, and people are acting like SQUAD committed war crimes. I feel like people try to find any excuse to criticize SQUAD, as if they're as bad as something like EA. It could be a lot worse, people. How would you feel about a KSP where every part is locked behind a $1.99 micropayment, variants are unlocked by a lootbox system, and where the game can't be run unless you have a stable internet connection? tl,dr: A small delay is nothing, and people are blowing it out of proportion.
  18. Minecraft: I like post-1.9 combat better. KSP: Why can't I point to the mun and turn on my engines to get there? TF2: Valve really supports and cares about this community. Terraria: 2D Minecraft. Homestuck: I skipped the pesterlogs. Pokemon: Gen 4 and 5 are the best generations (this is actually my opinion, but many people hate these gens).
  19. HGR's original downloads are currently broken, but there is a community thread that possesses working ones: https://github.com/Kerbas-ad-astra/HGR-Community-Fixes/releases
  20. I wouldn't recommend GPP due to how boring and samey the planets look, even though it's the most popular pack after OPM. Here are some of my recommendations: Alternis Kerbol Rekerjiggered modifies the entire solar system, most notably making Kerbin orbit Jool, which now orbits where Kerbin used to. It's one of the most stock-looking planet packs (after all, it was originally created by the same person who made the stock KSP solar system) New Horizons adds in dozens of new celestial bodies, while modifying the orbits of the old ones. Like Alternis Kerbol, Kerbin orbits a gas giant in this pack. NH is unfortunately broken in versions above 1.3, but I've been able to fix most of the issues (along with adding a high-performance EVE config). If you want me to send you the fixed version, just PM me. Whirligig World is quite different then other star system mods. The KSC is now located on a super-massive, atmosphere-less, and rapidly spinning rocky planet, called Mesbin. Due to this, WW plays quite different from all other planet mods. Before Kerbin and After Kerbin are based on what the stock system might look like billions of years into the past and future, respectively. In Before Kerbin, the KSC is located on Eve, before it became inhabitable via impact with it's moon. In After Kerbin, the KSC is located on a terraformed Duna, while Kerbol is in the process of becoming a red giant. Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul is a planet pack that adds massive amounts of new planets, while at the same time modifying Kerbin, the Mun, and Minmus. While it isn't exactly realistic, it is definitely a fun pack. Uncharted Lands currently won't work in versions above 1.3, but like New Horizons I've been able to fix it. UL remakes every body in the solar system from scratch, with all of them being created exclusively via procedural generation. UL's planetary system is beautiful, stockalike, and memorable, and I definitely recommend giving it a try. If you want the fixed version, just send me a PM.
  21. When I think of a LES for BFR, I think of something like this: This would result in the lower half of the spaceship being destroyed, but 20-60 lives are more important.
  22. No, the only dependencies necessary to play are Kopernicus and CTTP. In fact, you can get GPO looking beautiful with just EVE.
  23. Looks pretty neat, great job for a first planet pack.
  24. You're thinking of Stock Visual Enhancements (SVE), which SVT is a part of. SVE and AVP do the same thing, so there would be conflicts if you tried to use them together. You can use SVT with AVP just fine.
