  1. If you're an Elon Musk fan, cover your eyes. Elon Musk is an annoying techbro perpetuating unrealistic technolgies (Starship Earth to Earth or Hyperloop, for instance) and people should stop buying into his silly promises. Musk is an insult to all that have contributed to spaceflight and technology as a whole, and people should start crediting the engineers and scientists working for Tesla and SpaceX instead of Musk. Elon Musk is well and truly a hinderance to hard working scientists around the world who deserve the exposure Elon gets... Not to mention how much money he has that could go to funding public transport, instead of creating underground traffic jams in an attempt to create the rich man's alternative to getting a bus. Yes, Musk has a negative net impact on every day life too. It's a shame he gets all the money of his companies instead of people who could use it for good. Considering that, Musk is only a reason to hold a disbelief for capitalism too. But that's a topic for another post. Don't want people to send hate to me because they're insistent that people being poor in society is a good thing. If you read this anyway and are feeling hurt by this, feel free to direct your cheap attempts at defending Musk and his stupid ideas of a futuristic world to the bin next to me.
  2. You've been here for all of 12 seconds and are already asking "are we all alone", as if to spark drama. We got procedural radiators, wings and matrix shaders for the tutorial levels in the past few months. Why are you doing this, begging for news we're already getting? I realise the forum had guided me to a previous page when I made the above post, but ignore "procedural radiators" and I think my response still stands. There's a time and a place - ruining the fun isn't necessary, is it?
  3. 'Single life, no reloads' doesn't equal 'no testing'. OP seems to be lamenting not having a testing option. NASA has simulators and an R&D department. It doesn't make astronauts immortal, or time lords, not even 'by proxy'. They still only get one shot at the real mission. "Single life, no reloads" means "Single life, no reloads". NASA doesn't get the chance to test its latest rocket with 100% accuracy by going to a second universe where rewinding the world is allowed.
  4. Are you @Fullmetal Analyst alt? lol Flat UI is way less convoluted, which is what KSP 2 devs are trying to avoid.
  5. What Camacju said. Why are two completely different challenges being listed under one board?
  6. Without breaking realism/immersion, you could create a second save, sandbox or career with reverts/saves enabled, and use that as your 'simulation' environment. You won't be able to replay the exact same missions, but it does give you an opportunty to do some R&D *before* risking your kerbals to a new untested craft. Defeats the entire purpose of challenging yourself to not use such luxuries; this is just quicksave by proxy.
  7. We should be encouraging developers to finish their games before expecting us to spend £60 on it. (Old post, I know. Delete your response unless you have something else to add.) If you think the KSP 2 fandom is bad with actively enjoying bad practice, check out Elite Dangerous. Fans hate it when you say a game shouldn't be 90% idling or alt tabbed. Elite Dangerous fanboys especially tear up when you tell them promising a console version of a DLC for 8 months before pulling the plug altogether is a first degree scumball act.
  8. Instead of making us increase population for meaningful accomplishments, you propose we go out and grind for some random unnamed resource that's apparently needed for Kerbals to reproduce? Calling what out? You're being out of touch. You're disappointed they're cancelling unfulfilling grind? It's completely unsurprising so many want career rebuilt and that the devs are fulfilling this wish.
  9. There's not going to be "some level of spin" where the spheroid is as flat as you're looking it to be.
  10. Asking the devs to do things that are completely out of their power doesn't help much, does it? If you're so passionate about hearing more facts then you should write directly to T2 rather than disregarding the forum's advice on what you're trying to do.
  11. I'd go with false. Extra points for 0 gear at all. Or 0 points for using any kind of wheel.
  12. Because they are theoretically possible IRL. Can't you have just a bit of imagination? People went to 0 altitude at Jool to feel proud of themselves, not to explore ruins and such.
  13. You already said this in another part of the forum and someone came to explain that it wasn't up to Intercept. So I don't get why this is being brought up again.
  14. Asteroids, moons and junk are a rare occurence in Low Kerbin Orbit. Unless you move to Dres there won't be enough space junk to build Daedalus.
  15. Why is multiplayer called "war mode"? Doesn't that undermine voters that want multiplayer to do anything but war? Also, where is sandbox? The devs aren't out of touch, it's whatever this is supposed to be. You're out of touch. Career mode is completely flawed and I have faith in the developers to not mess up adventure mode.
  16. The actual reason being that static solar panels don't exactly give us a lot of possibilities in contrast to radiators.
  17. Let's try to put more than three seconds into our half-hearted attempts at annoying others
  18. What if it's spinning really fast? If it's spinning fast, then it'll become an oval, not a disk.
