No this wasnt made with variants in mind. It exists on a 2k texture sheet along with several other parts and a variant would not only need a new main texture it would need a new normal map as well. Thats work Im not willing to do especially considering the considerable roadmap of parts I have ahead of me. Its an interesting idea. The IRL RS30 only had a fixed nozzle extension and then an option for a deployable version of the extension. I did the latter due to more flexibility. However I did not consider a version without an extension entirely. The textures dont really work for that as there is baked ambient occlusion all over the nozzle and power head due to the extension mechanism and extension cooling pipes. A short version is therefore not possible unless I sacrifice the AO which Im not willing to do. (RL20 was possible since it was less problematic in that regard and it still neeeded a second UV area for the upper nozzle). Do you have any screenshots of this clipping? There is some weirdness in the VAB but thats a transparency related issue that isnt present in flight. If there is any clipping in flight please post screenshots.

Appreciate the comments but just keep in mind the apollo/saturn/skylab branch is not really intended for the general public. Though you are welcome to try it, it primarily exists for the BDB team to have access to each others work so just take things as they are. Currently the only thing we are testing in those branches are very basic functionality (do animations work, are the transforms correct etc) and art. Balancing work will begin only once the Saturn parts are in game and JSO (who handles the balancing) can start their thing. No effort is being made for compatibility with the Saturn rescale patch since it is meant to be deprecated once the new Saturn parts are available. Once parts are in semi stable and "playable" state they will make their way to the master branch for polishing and broader testing including balance feedback before final release.

You can patch the "deploySpeed" value in ModuleSimpleAdjustableFairing but I dont know if a way to change the deploy behaviour in general. Preview of the upcoming ETS European Research Module. I decided to take more inspiration directly from the IRL shuttle spacelab rather than try to follow the ETS artwork exactly. The handrails will be available in both gold and blue. Both endcaps can be switched between 0.625m, 0.9375m and 1.25m. The module itself will have a diameter of 3.125m. This together with the airlock module will complete the ETS Spacelab. Textures still WIP.

The Star 37 and Star 48 were rescaled in BDB 1.8 to exact IRL dimensions x 0.625. This takes them away from existing stack diameters but was important to do to resolve scaling issues with probes such as Clementine which are built around these motors. since they're not cylindrical stack parts we didnt feel the size difference to stack sizes was a big problem. Dev branches and even the github master should always be considered at your own risk.

Looks great, always nice to have more options to switch between, def keen to try this out

Ive not actually been playing much KSP at all over the last year or so lol. Modders curse as Im too busy making stuff. But I am setting up a new test install with visuals, i'll take a look and see sometime.

Possibly, a clean install will be more informative for sure. BDB's kerbalism configs are handled by Kerbalism itself. Feel free to post any fixes here but it would be best to also submit them to the kerbalism team for inclusion. (i dunno if its actively maintained these days but I assume so). Sounds like its pitching the rocket over too agressively. Could try modifying the trajectory or post a video so people can see what you're doing wrong.

I've not seen anything definitive. One image I've seen of the wetlab has the solar panels attached to an SLA style petal shroud that are retained in orbit. I could imagine radiators being built into those. But most versions look more like normal skylab and I dont see an obvious main radiator. (The MDA does have a small radiator built into the black section around the zenith docking port). re LS something to consider I guess. I think that part was specifically batteries and monoprop only due to its use as a service module for the gemini ferry. Not sure about the other issue, will see if its reproducible when I get a chance to test.

[KSP1.12.x] RealPlume - Stock v4.0.8 & RealPlume v13.3.2 [25/JUN/2021]
Zorg replied to Zorg's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is to be expected due to new models by squad (which are technically new parts) and thus restock is replacing completely new parts, it will be fixed in a future update. -
