  1. What scaling function? Are you talking about tweakscale? If so no one is maintaining those configs anymore though happy to take a pull request.
  2. not sure, its on my list to investigate further, I've not looked too deeply yet. Need to see what engines are required and fit for the 4 engine booster skirt etc. But I will consider it yes.
  3. Its tricky because the SLA module handles the decoupling of the top node and the panel jettison together. SAF doesnt do this and is in general a little messy for this use case. Perhaps the better solution would be an independent 4.25m structural barrel section to use below the SLA.
  4. We don’t have a dual mount yet but should be coming at some point. ETS block III SM is probably too short so we may need an intermediate length one for VFB as well.
  5. The actual scidefs are all existing ones from BDB (of which we have many). Most of them have system wide definitions though some are placeholder, we're always looking for volunteers who can write scidefs (with the appropriate content and style).
  6. This is the result of a bad install. Probably b9partswitch is missing or out of date or you have some other patch interfering with it. The picture shows the F1 and F1B being mixed together. if everything is up to date then you need to post your modulemanager.configcache file from the gamedata folder
  7. The B9 toggle is for the part of the shield that remained attached under the surviving right side solar panel. For a historical recreation, you keep it on, and jettison the shielding during launch. Press the shielding button to toggle the jettisonable part in the VAB. Yup thats planned. Along with EOSS and the shorter ATM "core" to make an LM ATM that will fit in the SLA. https://github.com/CobaltWolf/Bluedog-Design-Bureau/issues/1059
  8. I wouldnt consider mods like Near Future and Tantares dead so much as "feature complete". Its a good thing in a way especially for a tech tree maker since you dont need to keep chasing the latest updates for those mods I've no idea, though to be fair I've never looked. Thats not a Centaur-Centaur, this is a Centaur-Centaur We dont mind reasonable (and polite) requests, that sounds easy enough.
  9. official craft files and wiki documentation will come later, but these should get you going Left is 15/16 and right is 17
  10. I did the N1 waterfall configs for the other stages and tbh I thought even with Waterfalls efficiency brute forcing 30 plumes (especially large ones since waterfall perfomance is affected by how much screenspace the fx take) would be a bad idea. Tbh I didnt actually test it and R7 ends up with a similar number of individual effects between all the nozzles. I intended to make a custom (very large) plume that would add a single plume to the N1 first stage and use symmetry effects to fake multiple nozzles. Sort of like the old Tundra realplume for Falcon 9. However I never got around to doing this and got a bit burned out on plume template development. If this works and the performance is not terrible may be worth integrating if Beale ever does a minor patch update.
  11. er I think all the historical Saturn and Apollo parts are in game now. For Skylab I've been meaning to do the parasol/sunshade but apart from that everything else is in game. The Skylab workshop IVA may or may not make an initial release (probably not). Should be easy enough.
  12. Speaking for myself I have no plans to make another rocket family. I do want to redo the atlas engines as mentioned previously plus redo some of the hardware and add some stuff. Plus I have a couple more non historical skylab stuff to do and IVAs. Beyond that perhaps a probe or two. By the time thats all done will have to see where we are with respect to a KSP2 release date.
  13. Just to add to what i said earlier, I think the more persistent myth I'm trying to dispel here is that Rocketdyne had anything to do with the HG-3 study when the contractor was Pratt and Whitney. But this Rocketdyne association seems pervasive throughout the internet. Even people who acknowledge it as the thinnest of paper designs (which is still being generous) still speculate it being J2-esque. I doubt P&W were dreaming of Rocketdyne engines while writing those reports up (especially when P&W had been working on staged combustion for years)
  14. You might need to provide a screenshot of your gamedata folder so we can see whats installed and how. If you can also provide screenshots of these parts ("they not longer looked the same as the originals but were named the same,") that will also help. Once you post some of that information we will know what to look for and for what other information you may need to provide. I can 100% guarantee BDB does not change parts in the stock game or in other mods.
