    I believe that would be piracy. Coding the same features but in a different way, While not using Squad's textures it would be perfectly fine. If someone did this and open-sourced the code it would be a good alternative for people who don't want to buy the DLC. however the DLC will always have an edge as squad develops and creates the two together. Having new features in a DLC that won't be in the vanilla game I am fine with, because some items (e.g. servos, hinges, pistons) are not needed to enjoy the game.

    Yeah, it could also be in a futuristic/speculative dlc, like set in the near future with larger ships and other solar systems.

    I went to Ike today, in my efforts to build an eve lander(this was a test of the launcher) i made it with 60m/s DV left. I still cannot get enough of watching it orbit duna.

    @Vanamonde's tutorial or A youtube channel called Scott Manley are your best bet for this question. but yes you have to get to orbit first, quicksaving frequently can help with the actual landing part.

    Eve online is a massively multiplayer game(MMO), it is kinda hard to explain(at least for me, i only played for a bit) Scott Manley plays it and has videos about it. It should be on steam, you can play free but it is severely limited.
