  1. A fun thing I figured out a while ago and forgot to post about: the Atlas Centaur 2.08m fairing in BDB is actually kinda inaccurate, it's currently like the one on the right but the real one actually looks closer to the one on the left (which is more similar to the Centaur-D fairing used for OAO and such) This is what I'm mostly basing it on (from the Atlas II payload user's guide):
  2. I definitely remember grabbing a copy of it at some point, with some hope it might still be floating around somewhere in one of my installs
  3. Thankfully no, you'll just need to swap out the affected parts before they're hard depreciated in a later update
  4. Asking here bc someone might know, has anyone made a IRFNA/UDMH sea level plume? I know Waterfall has a vac one bundled but I'm looking for a SL one for a project I'm working on.
  5. The standard scaling of KSP parts is 0.625 real scale, so if we go by the Wikipedia diameter of 0.88m IRL that'd come out to 0.55m. Since that's not a standard KSP diameter, the closest available is 0.625m. So there you go!
  6. Make sure you've got the latest versions of both SOCK and RMM (Rocket Motor Menagerie), it looks like the RS-25 bundled with ACK is probably overscaled. (also that's ACK you're using, not reDIRECT lol)
  7. Great kitbash! I'm intrigued to know, how did you put together the lander fairing?
  8. to enable the menu/editor you just need to turn it on in Waterfall's settings.cfg, that should sort it.
  9. It's because the LR-87 can't throttle, it was proposed that one engine on the core stage would be left off during initial ascent and then presumably air-started before booster sep to conserve fuel and allow the configuration to work effectively. Also the usage of only one engine on the LR-87 pair was possible as the engines only shared electronics and not plumbing (e.g. the RD-180), so the engines would have to be modified slightly for independent operation but nothing too significant afaik.
  10. This might be an odd question but is there any way to make the EngineIgnitor module point to a specific ModuleEngines on the part? There's an engine part with two independent ModuleEngines and I'd like to add an ignitions limit to both, or at a stretch give them different amounts of relights but using the standard EngineIgnitor config layout it only applies to the first ModuleEngines in the part's config, giving the second ModuleEngines infinite relights.
  11. looks like it's a typoed version of the RD-0146 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RD-0146
  12. Do you have any mods installed that affect plumes, say RealPlume or Avalanche/RSMP?
