I think we should be cautious about telling this guy how to translate KSP into North Korean for national security reasons.

Is engine gimbaling also not allowed?

Another interesting thing to ponder is how much energy you'd need to move a 1 ly bar in units of Saturn V's

Please help!!!!
Cattette replied to TylaJames's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
An image can be hosted on imgur and then posted here. The contents of a text file can be pasted into a forum message. If this isnt practical, then the log can be hosted on Google drive or similar and the link posted here. -
If the title of this topic is to be believed, yes.

Crashing constantly

You should be a bit more careful about sharing these kinds of files. What i presume to be your first name is displayed at the very bottom of the error.log file. -
Please help!!!!
Cattette replied to TylaJames's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
The log can be found in the commons/kerbal space program folder, its the same folder that the gamedata folder is in. A mod list could be showed by screenshoting the gamedata folder or asking CKAN to print a .txt file of all the mods it has installed. -

How to make custom particle effect
Cattette replied to cukkoo's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
Now, i have no idea of how particles are made or work in KSP, but are you sure that the particles have coloration? This is just a speculation, but KSP particles might mask parts if it's uncolored/transparent. -
There are none. Nada.

The last update for Cormorant Aeronology was for KSP version 1.7.1. Since you are on 1.10, major to minor incompatibilities are to be expected. I'd recommend downgrading your KSP install. Furthermore, i believe this post should be moved to the Technical Support (PC, modded installs) topic.

[WIP] Stockalike West Germanic Rocketry
Cattette replied to Cattette's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
The Royal and Imperial Post Office guarantees a timely and reliable continent-wide delivery service! This Rocket is based on the real-life mail rockets designed by Friedrich Schmiedl. The idea was to implement a speedy solution to delivering mail over the mountainous landscape of Southern Austria during the 1930s. Unfortunately, not a lot of the specifications of his designs survived the test of time. He personally destroyed a lot of them when the pedant military showed an interest in his rockets. -
Idk what to feel about this. Would it not be more realistic to tweak the engines aerodynamic properties when one removes the shroud?

[WIP] Stockalike West Germanic Rocketry
Cattette replied to Cattette's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Progress on the Pluto rocket. The Pluto can act as a liquid fueled first stage booster for the Mohr rocket to allow it to exit the atmosphere and return scientific readings. The plan is to also implement a sustainer stage for the Pluto rocket to allow it to ferry payloads to orbit. Note that the lower stage engine and fuel tank are seperate parts, i just didnt seperate them in Unity. -
Assuming one has played KSP1, i dont think getting into orbit in KSP2 would be very different. Though it would be fun if they added another law of physics to spice up the experience. My guess is that the gameplay content most of us are really exited for, interstellar travel and colonies etc., will not be worked on until the later stages of development, when the basics are set in place.

[WIP] Stockalike West Germanic Rocketry

A shroud! Has this sounding rocket become a potential second stage?! -
West Germanic Rocketry -- Development thread for the West Germanic Rocketry mod. -- I'd like to thank @DeltaDizzy and @DylanSemrau for teaching me the basics of Unity and KSP modding. Introduction The ultimate goal of this part pack is to introduce the often neglected rocket history of the large land mass between the US and Russia/USSR to KSP. Most of the parts in this mod will be based on old German and Austrian spacecraft - both real and imagined. While some of the adaptations will be more or less true to life in function and purpose, others will include a deal of artistic liberty to make it more practical in-game. The art-style takes heavy inspiration from the style of Tantares, so these part packs will likely fit together nicely. Planned Content: Noordung Space Station Friedrich Schmiedl's Mail Rocket (reusable) 3 Staged liquid fueled rocket based on the drawings of Johann Schmidlap Actually usable Zucker Rocket (maybe) Something based on the rocket from Frau im Mond (maybe) Some kind of simple early tech space capable manned vehicle. Either based on the Magdeburger Startgerät or the capsule drawn by Von Braun in this document Mohr Rocket: Roadmap page

Using Squad Textures..?
Cattette replied to Quiznos323's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
All parts should have a .dds file containing their texture somewhere inside the gamedata/squad directory. These can probably be opened by Gimp and Paint.net. They can later be exported as .png files with these programs. -
Aergia Space Agency Online Shop
Cattette replied to Cattette's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Right now i have a launcher, space station, Eve lander, and a Duna rover in progress. Shown here is an early draft of the Phaidra 3 Expendable Launch Vehicle. I still need to tweak the control system when the launcher is in the very upper atmosphere to aid in prograde burns. While this vehicle can safely carry 100t to low Kerbin orbit, more weight would lead to the lower stage depleting too quickly, which forces the second stage (which performs really badly in the atmosphere) to operate in the upper atmosphere - this more often than not leads to the launch vehicle to reach orbit. Though it more than excels at hauling lighter payloads to far away destinations. I'm thinking a Phaidra 3B Expendable Launch Vehicle would be designed with another second stage engine which is adapted to atmospheric operation to allow for particularly heavy payloads (<100t) to reach LKO. This design would obviously not be as efficient in long range voyages however.
