  1. Took some time to check out my first landing site in my save before saying goodbye. Took one final taste of that ice before I need to contend with organ damage from the changes:

Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it develops.

Note: This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

WHAT THE DEVELOPERS HAVE TO SAY:

    Why Early Access?

“More than anything else, we cannot wait for players to build, fly, crash, and fly again!

The core pillar of KSP2 is building and flying cool rockets. While we have additional features planned like colonies, interstellar travel, and multiplayer, we first want to hear back from players about the core fundamental experience.
We believe that going through early access for KSP2 will ultimately allow us to build a better game through a supportive dialogue with our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“KSP 2 will stay in Early Access until we feel that the game and its full feature set are at our desired level of quality. Check out our roadmap above for our planned feature releases and make sure to follow our social channels for further information on timing of updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The 1.0 version of KSP 2 will include significantly more features than the Early Access version, such as what you see on the roadmap plus other items added along the way. This includes:
    · More parts and the opportunity for more creative builds
    · More star systems and hidden anomalies
    · Improved quality of life and onboarding to open up the vast beauty of space to even more players
    · Continued performance improvements and visual updates

We can’t wait for you to join us on this journey into the stars!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Initial release of Early Access will include:
    • Remodeled and visually updated Kerbolar system with celestial secrets to uncover
    • Hundreds of new and improved parts including engines, procedural wings, and more
    • Customize your vehicles with creative paint jobs
    • Improved experience for new and returning players:
    o Animated Tutorials
    o Improved User Interface
    o Upgraded Map View
    • Fully revamped assembly & flight interfaces
    • More for players to discover (we don’t want to spoil everything)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, KSP 2 will sell for $49.99 (SRP) during Early Access, and we expect that the price will be raised at 1.0 release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Your feedback will be crucial in helping to make KSP 2 the best it can be, and we want to hear about everything that is important to you. Are the tutorials effective and are there enough of them? Have the user interface changes made a meaningful impact? Is the localization accurate?

Most importantly, we want players to play for thousands of hours. What will keep you playing? During Early Access there will be a form on the KSP website to submit detailed feedback. It can also be accessed from the game’s launcher and the Steam page.

You can follow the development progress through our various social channels: the KSP subreddit, the official KSP forums, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Facebook.”

    KSP2 Performance

Hey Kerbonauts, KSP Community Lead Michael Loreno here. I’ve connected with multiple teams within Intercept after ingesting feedback from the community and I’d like to address some of the concerns that are circulating regarding KSP 2 performance and min spec.

First and foremost, we need to apologize for how the initial rollout of the hardware specs communication went. It was confusing and distressful for many of you, and we’re here to provide clarity.

    TLDR:

The game is certainly playable on machines below our min spec, but because no two people play the game exactly the same way (and because a physics sandbox game of this kind creates literally limitless potential for players to build anything and go anywhere), it’s very challenging to predict the experience that any particular player will have on day 1. We’ve chosen to be conservative for the time being, in order to manage player expectations. We will update these spec recommendations as the game evolves.

Below is an updated graphic for
    recommended
    hardware specs:

    331df72f9c358f77bda37ed914d3a68048c62260.jpg

I’d like to provide some details here about how we arrived at those specs and what we’re currently doing to improve them.

To address those who are worried that this spec will never change: KSP2’s performance is not set in stone. The game is undergoing continuous optimization, and performance will improve over the course of Early Access. We’ll do our best to communicate when future updates contain meaningful performance improvements, so watch this space.

Our determination of minimum and recommended specs for day 1 is based on our best understanding of what machinery will provide the best experience across the widest possible range of gameplay scenarios.

In general, every feature goes through the following steps:
    1. Get it working
    2. Get it stable
    3. Get it performant
    4. Get it moddable
As you may have already gathered, different features are living in different stages on this list right now. We’re confident that the game is now fun and full-featured enough to share with the public, but we are entering Early Access with the expectation that the community understands that this is a game in active development. That means that some features may be present in non-optimized forms in order to unblock other features or areas of gameplay that we want people to be able to experience today. Over the course of Early Access, you will see many features make their way from step 1 through step 4.

Here's what our engineers are working on right now to improve performance during Early Access:
    1. Terrain optimization.
The current terrain implementation meets our main goal of displaying multiple octaves of detail at all altitudes, and across multiple biome types. We are now hard at work on a deep overhaul of this system that will not only further improve terrain fidelity and variety, but that will do so more efficiently.
    2. Fuel flow/Resource system optimization.
Some of you may have noticed that adding a high number of engines noticeably impacts framerate. This has to do with CPU-intensive fuel flow and Delta-V update calculations that are exacerbated when multiple engines are pulling from a common fuel source. The current system is both working and stable, but there is clearly room for performance improvement. We are re-evaluating this system to improve its scalability.
As we move forward into Early Access, we expect to receive lots of feedback from our players, not only about the overall quality of their play experiences, but about whether their goals are being served by our game as it runs on their hardware. This input will give us a much better picture of how we’re tracking relative to the needs of our community.

With that, keep sending over the feedback, and thanks for helping us make this game as great as it can be!

Spoilers ahead, KH3 mini game | Kingdom Hearts Amino

    Spoiler

Most of this posts information comes from this video:

Moho = Moho is now even more cratered than before, it seems to have a large one on it's southern hemisphere. Oh and it's also tidally locked now, perhaps there is ice on the dark side? And there are some reports I've heard about the famous Mohole being moved from the north pole. Though I have heard it is somewhere on the planet

Eve = Eve has purple clouds covering the whole planet, it's actual surface seems to be a more greyish-brown color as we've seen from previous sneak-peeks. It's oceans aren't made of rocket fuel anymore, now they are composed of liquid sulfer.

Gilly = Not much to say about Gilly, it has craters now but that's about it.

Kerbin = Kerbin has less jagged mountains now as well as better plant life and an overall more interesting surface. It also has a lovely cloud system!

Mun = The Mun has been changed quite a bit, it now looks more like our moon with one side covered in ancient lava flows and the other being more mountainous.

Minmus = Minmus was rather infamously changed to a ceramic (glassy) moon instead of an icy one. It also sports some nice looking craters.

Duna = Duna has been totally redone. There are areas pockmarked with craters and areas that look like they were once covered in ocean. The ice caps are smaller and aren't as visible as in the first game.

Ike = Ike is now a volcanic moon though there hasn't been an eruption for quite a while. This probably explains why the moon doesn't have many craters on it.

Dres = A brand new planet for the system! Dres has nothing in common with it's former self. It's covered in craters and half of the planets surface is covered in soot whereas the rest looks icy. It sports a fair amount of axial tilt now as well. Oh and did I mention that THEY GAVE DRES A RING!!!  It also sports a mountain ridge where the ring slowly falls to the surface. Overall a massive improvement from the original.

Jool = Jool hasn't changed much, it has a nice cloud system now but other then that it's the same as the first game.

Laythe = Laythe has a cloud system now. It also has more crater shaped islands which will make landing a little less frustrating but still challenging.

Vall = Vall remains mostly the same on the side of the moon facing into space. It's jool facing side is warmed by radiation and is more mountainous due to cryovolcanic activity. A very interesting change!

Tylo = Oh my Jeb where do we even start? This moon went from one of my least favorite places to one of the most striking locations in the game as of now. It looks like a painting, the moons is now various shades of dirt brown with canyons and craters that add blotches of other colours. Amazing improvement from the ugly mess in the first game.

Bop = Loving Bops new crater and I'm probably going to be quoting "What did Bop cross your path" to oblivious people for a very long time.

Pol = Wow. I always liked Pol but in this game it looks amazing. Not sure about how an object the size of an asteroid on the fringes of the system is spewing out volcanic materials and radiation but very cool!

Eeloo = Eeloo has better cliffs and craters now, I also noticed it has quite a bit of axial tilt. Should be more appealing for a visit.

Planet 8 = Just kidding, there is no planet 8 (?)

I hope there is indeed a lot of goodies on these planets because..

At least from a distance, they've managed Moho to look boring.

    4XfJYC7.png

It's not blasted by the sun, there's almost no color variation, it's a brown ball with craters.

And no, a single mohole won't cut it.

Where did you get that image?

Oh that's Everyday Astronaut, oops
