DerkyJerkyWreaksHavoc replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
I love these missions and spaceships. In honesty though, as a friendly suggestion, maybe its best to put the pictures in a spoiler so people like me don't have to cook their potato pc to load the page -

Kerbal Space Program 2 Early Access Available Now
DerkyJerkyWreaksHavoc replied to Intercept Games's topic in Announcements
no need to whine so much. Its Early Access I remember like 2 years of development was cut-off to Covid-19 infrastructure and "society" problems. I've been low-key wanting a KSP show. I know, im very decieving compare KSP1 Early Access stock graphics to KSP2's V0.1 graphics is much more fair than comparing with third party mods with sole purpose is to fill in a single purpose that KSP1 didn't do so well in. If you make a fair comparison with KSP V0.1 with KSP2 V0.1, KSP2 is light years ahead. An even with KSP V1.12, its still way better, just more bugs, that's all. I've yet to see anyone compliment the amazing sound and badass graphics that make the planets look amazing. May i remind you KSP1's roadmap was 10 years long? Yeah, all we need is the right hardware (even if its expensive), until the developers can iron out the wrinkles to make the game more accessible to everyone, that's all -
Probably 1-2 more weeks. sit tight!

I will admit the bugs are quite a bit annoying where, after i've had enough, I've had enough. i will then proceed to close the game, turn off my computer, disconnect my keyboard, and mash it all over the place. In all seriousness though, KSP2 is already very expansive with the procedural wings and the color schemes, as well as the graphics and sound that it will be a VERY long time before i get bored of this game. And boyyy, when interstellar hits, i'll basically be living inside the game. I personally, don't care about the anomalies, not because i have any sort of skill issue in finding them. I find the docking bugs annoying, and sometimes the map view glitches can be difficult, but i can rest easy knowing this will get better. So in short, im not bored. I agree 200%. We signed up for this ordeal when we purchaed Early Access. Now we suck it up.

To simplify, I think they are going to simply do the majority of the Kraken slaying first to make the game more playable, then focus on re-entry heating add-ons, then following the road-map while simply polishing any bugs encountered in between. Bug fixing's a life-long thing so it will end when the development of the game ends, but the super-super-super high importance bug problem should be fixed before the Science add-on hits. Although i personally believe bug fixes will be in weeks, the roadmap may be months so i think 4 months is an appropriate approximation. (lots of "a's" there) As a real astronaut that has been to zero moons, and zero planets (yep, i haven't even visited Earth yet), i can confirm that this statement is false.

I already got that cleared out with him.

Yep, you heard that right. We need a black hole in KSP2. I would imagine that it functions just like how jool did in KSP1, maybe destroying the craft completely after reaching a certain "altitude". a quasar would be beautiful. Plus, having a black hole would allow for some game breaking slingshots, being able to perform gravity assists that accelerate you multiple times your orbital speed. I would love for it to be a supermassive black hole, but at the same time, maybe a stellar black hole, or a black hole orbiting another star would also be great. I noticed in the game's introduction trailer there was a quasar, so maybe the KSP2 devs are hinting at something. https://youtu.be/VUiY2WqCet8?t=19

@Nate Simpson Here, i will get the convo between you and him. All great suggestions should be invested with the courage to push forward!

talk to nate about it

Well, in KSP2 as an open-universe, extra content is always welcome so limiting ourselves to just one spacesuit is kind of basic, although it should not have hundreds of options. At most maybe 3 to 5 different space suit types would be nice.
