Did Minmus once have a ocean?
DerkyJerkyWreaksHavoc replied to Nerbal The Second's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Well, technically in regular KSP, Minmus was made of ice but now the new standard is that Minmus is now made out of glass (at least in KSP2 it is) as its literally impossible for minmus to be completely made of ice at such close range to Kerbol (the sun). And i don't think Minmus ever had an atmosphere because im pretty sure there is no magnetic field around Minmus to protect its atmosphere from being blasted away but maybe im wrong.? how come every single moderator has 100 times more reputation points than me... i wonder if theres people that spam like everything... -

so micro transactions are like stuff that you can buy for to give you an advantage or better style in game? thank god they aren't including that. plz dont pay attention to what i just put in -
@archdude10you may want to ask @KSPStar or one of the many moderators (such as @Vanamonde) this is a potential bug in the game that the administrators need to know so they can foward it to SQUAD (the game developers) so they can patch it in a new update. for the whole "asking the training section what it thinks is wrong part", these are tutorials structured by the developers and are not artificial AI so once again its most likely a bug in the game. hopefully admin comes and approaches your case. hope i answered your question! and also... Welcome to the KSP community!!!

very simple. you know the small side button on the top side of the PS4 controller (R1 button). i belive that should toggle between regular, offset, rotation, and root mode. if not, you can press the button on the right joystick on the PS4 which will enable the cursor. once the cursor is enabled, you can hover to the offset button and press x to enable it almost like you would be doing it on pc. trust me, i play ksp on Xbox Series S and its a pain. anyways, hope i answered your question and happy flying!

How is Laythe a second Kerbin?
DerkyJerkyWreaksHavoc replied to Second Hand Rocket Science's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Breatheable Oxygen? i thought the oxygen was toxic?? and also the only reason it has liquid water is because of the extremely high salinity of Laythe's oceans (boi contains a lotta salt). hopefully, i simplified this so it sounds like english and not E.T type of language. Also now i have a question too? How come Tylo and Laythe have relatively small SOI heights when considering their huge gravitational influence (ex: their high escape velocity?!) but Eeloo (which is barely bigger than mun) has a much higher SOI height considering how low its gravitational influence is on scale. i think the answer might be because since Laythe and Tylo are bound to a much stronger gravitational pull (Jool) which weakens their influence on a spacecraft orbiting either one of them but since Eeloo is extremely far from the sun, Eeloo controls a very high gravitational share which is why we might be able to be in Eeloo's SOI but still be relatively far for its size. now that im done talking about SOI, i just wanted to say a quick thank you to the devs of KSP2 . i saw the recent updates on celestial architecture and it looks totally awesome. -

Can you explain what "micro transactions" are? cuz the closest thing my 9th grade mind can come up with is a Chase Freedom credit card and im pretty sure KSP2 does not implement online money. (btw that was a joke). but seriously, what are micro transactions? -
Holy Cow! love the slideshow. and really impressive mods btw.

i have a big brain idea... Something i noticed about KSP2 is that there is going to be an extreme amount of technology ranging from primitive tech to advanced tech and part of me feels like there should be a second, more advanced tech tree for interstellar technologies. i'll call it "Quantum Science". it would work with different, more advanced science experiments that could only be accessed at its start by finishing the first tech tree. here would be all the anti engines, orion propulsion, more advanced electrics, "Quantum science" experiments, you name it. @Nate Simpson will definitely not see this so i am ok with publishing this. its a good suggestion that i hoped that would be implemented into KSP2's tech tree. i mean the first one is long enough; do we really wanna pile it up more? YES?! NO!!! i really think the 2nd tech tree would be a good implementation to the game.

What is the most useless thing in KSP?
DerkyJerkyWreaksHavoc replied to TitiKSP's topic in KSP1 Discussion
@BlackMesaSurvivor you have spoiled the movie. i am greatly dissapointed. i should sacrifice 4 kerbals in your honor -
i remember that like a year ago when Covid-19 was in full swing, there was a astronomical amount of posting in one day. i then left the forum for literally months later and when i come back i LITERALLY have to go on a treasure hunt for a post that was posted less than 60 minutes ago. in fact, most of the posts in the immediate view are nearly 12 hours old, if not a day already (or even multiple days in some threads). What happened to the Hype? has it died down? i feel like a lot of the forum fans dont respond anymore and this forum is starting to become like any other forum. its really sad. i remember i had like 20 notifications a day and i've now only had 3 notifications in the last 4 months (one of them was a warning point). i really hope we can revamp this forum up. KSP is one of those rare games that keeps an imprint in our fingers when we play it (similar to among us). i sure hope this forum can keep up with it.
