Would you watch if I started livestreaming KSP?
Dientus replied to minerbat's topic in KSP Fan Works
An explanation for my no. It is very hard for me to ever pin down consistent times to watch anything live due to things in my life and work. As a however, I would definitely be interested in watching the recordings when I could. -
That just gave me a great idea @AFF Also, very nicely done @OnlyLightMatters keep that up!

75% eh? Surely we can get that number up to 99% vehicle loss! And so will the dark clouds need batteries to run the lightning? Or will you add nuclear driven generators to the game for consistent launch threatening gameplay?

The daily kerbal has ceased for Months. What's happening?
Dientus replied to damowang2's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That's been my assumption considering the speed of the last update and the remaining bugs in the object attachment part of the game. -
Kerbal injury and temporary paralysis
Dientus replied to OrdinaryKerman's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I could see a medical professional kerbal if this were to be implemented. Which could in turn lead to more in depth play and parts such as a medical bay, and maybe even bandages for the doctor kerbal to heal other kerbals in orbit, like the engineer repairing parts and using those kits. If done right, I could get behind and enjoy this as long as it doesn't get too dark. There are other games for that. -
Will KSP2 have lore or a storyline?
Dientus replied to Dr. Kerbal's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Using this style wouldn't be so bad, but I wonder how would that be implemented in ksp2? I'm thinking for example, if you are making your first Muner landing, you wouldn't see fireworks over the main launch pad back on Kerbin and having fireworks over the landing site could be a bit distracting and definitely not realistic. -
Enjoy every aspect of exploring and advancing that tech tree! Must Colonize Everything! MUST BUILD THE KERBAL GALACTIC EMPIRE!!!

Anyone else worried that KSP 2 will be bad?
Dientus replied to Omni122's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Only speaking for myself, I'm just nosy and would like to see the updates to satisfy curiosity since it's been so far pushed back. Not really worried about it tho. -
Why is fuel so heavy?
Dientus replied to kspacc's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Theory: since it's approximately 1/10 scale anyway, they use abstract numbers and terms to slide difficulty up or down. -
@OHara Thank for the info, I actually wasn't sure how ksp figured drag from inside. Good patch to.

For me it's the mission builder and sandbox mode. I keep thinking I will try mission builder, but then I think, why waste time on it, especially when I have no one to share the completed mission with anyway. I tried sandbox mode but having all items and everything unlocked gives me little to strive for, in my opinion.

FTS - Flight Termination System .. all I know of is mapping action groups to the abort button at the top of the screen, like activating parachutes, ejection systems, etc. but in my ksp experience I don't know of anyway to blow them up. As far as I know, once a piece of the craft breaks off, any mapped action will not execute anyways.

Your question of KSP2, is probably answered here.
Dientus replied to Dr. Kerbal's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I always assumed Kerbal to the 2nd power, or, the next level of Kerbals... Has star movements (or lack thereof) been confirmed either way for KSP2? I know other solar systems are, I mean do thier stars orbit anything larger or are they stationary? -

Dientus replied to Dr. Kerbal's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I actually remember the starcraft fiasco. I didn't realize it had effects like that elsewhere. Sorry guys, didn't mean to derail the thread. Thank you for that very informative post @K^2 !! -

Curious, do you happen to know why such a large difference in final sell value? By that I mean $60 USD in USA vs. $25 USD in Russia? The only time I ever saw differences approaching that is near military bases in 3rd world countries, especially if supply was high. -
Predictions on future updates!
Dientus replied to Fundati's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I couldn't find it but I want to say that Kerbin may have basic modeled cities... But it may have been a rumor, couldn't find the thread. It would be nice to have a few tho, cities. I wonder if making any type of life, kerbals or otherwise, would take to much in resources... Meaning both CPU and Dev time. -
The worst duna mission in the history of duna rover missions
Dientus replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Maybe something just isn't jelling in my brain. Seems like all my tests with both end.up failing. Always different reasons such as off-balanced loads or less delta-v available than needed, or unwieldy, elaborate rocket designs.... Maybe I will get it one day -
The worst duna mission in the history of duna rover missions
Dientus replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I always have issues packing rovers with landers... I just hit contracts hard and waste money on a second rocket for the rover only.. n -
Maybe it's me, but seems for any trailer to do KSP Justice it would need all three elements. Excerpts from greatest player triumphs to worst player fails. Riding that comet to explosion and first steps on Eve. Will be interesting to see what you come up with. Just please please please... Not all of it dark, as in no to little light...

Now I am curious... Where? Is@The Doodling Astronaut Correct?
-
They have never bothered me. I actually put a couple of the pegasus mobility enhancers on long term satellites so my engineers have something to hold to during maintenance or upgrades.
