  1. Pssst... Hey @Pthigrivi They're amazing! Add some visual mods and it gets better!
  2. I think you are as close to what it will be as possible right now with the little that I know. One thing that was discussed loosely in another thread, was the (what to call it, hope? Possibility? Wish?) Of there being more professions. Something I hope for. Such as Medic, Laborer, Programmer, Analyst, as well as the normal Pilot, Engineer, Scientist. Like all things, this could become convoluted, but in moderation, could fit very nicely as Kerbals as a resource.
  3. I see what you mean. And not having any previous projects to draw from (well, to an extent I guess KSP) from this team of devs, we can only speculate how playability (and replayability) will be. I daresay, that from what I have seen and know of the project, it will at least be mediocre and very doubtful to be a complete 'bomb'. It may be just complete blind faith, but I do believe it will at least rank in the generic category of 'good'.
  4. I like that and it makes sense to me. More power more heat is produced and not all of it can be used as thrust.
  5. That would be great, if true we should be on track for a very stable game in 22
  6. This is merely my opinion and in no way meant to offend or defend anyone, so take it for what it's worth. Some of what you are seeing is prevalent in all games I have ever joined the forums on. You will have the 'prima donas' the 'whiners' the 'know it alls' the 'never satisfied' and the 'fanboys'. To me, it actually seems very toned down here compared to other forums. There is very low toxicity here as well as higher than normal moderator involvement which to me is very refreshing. The way I see it is that every member of the forum is an individual that handles things differently. To me, it is like being promised a new car and then being told that you have to wait, then wait again. And this is just how each person expresses their frustration and/or anticipation of finally getting to drive that new car. It can be frustrating for all involved, so the point in asking for a planet editor is to just put it out there, express and share ideas, and hope that if the devs don't have it planned (trust me on this one, forums tend to be a very small influence on devs) that maybe it can be in a future update, or a modder will take it on. If it's not planned, the devs will not halt everything just to add it without very extenuating circumstances. For me, I would love a planet editor as DLC, since something like this could be over whelming for people new to learning basic rocket science.
  7. Verified how? And their are many ways to playtest. I may be a long time player, but new to forums so I wouldn't have been here at that time most likely
  8. Breaking news on KKSP channel 2, remember, you heard it here first! I think the long wait is getting to us. I mean its already been 2 years right?
  9. Feel like I'm reading a discussion on the existence of yeti I would like to think they would, but I have doubts even if they have enough that we would see it at either time. Why? Only because gaming events are commonly used to generate awareness and hype and a lot of the gaming community appears quite aware of KSP 2 already.
  10. That was were I got lost too. I thought for a minute it was my dementia kicking in.
  11. I noticed this was assembled in the SPH, I assembled mine in the VAB and used radial and not symmetry where a single seperator was doubled. I assume the same thing happens. I appreciate the assist! I will upload the craft to KerbalX sometime later after work.. real life calls.
  12. I will take a look at that. When launching it acts top heavy with the lift too far forward the COM. When it flips, it doesn't break apart, I used the same split tank (empty) on the peryton with two seperators, one for each RAPIER. It APPEARS to be solid but its possible the two struts are stabilizing it. I can take a close up pic of the setup if you like, not at the desktop currently tho. I agree 100% on mounting it on top a booster assembley. A shuttle I have has SRB's to get it into space, but just below the Peryton is the (unamed) orbiter. Its pretty big as it carries enough fuel to catch the Peryton on one of its atmospheric skips and refuel it again for Eve dive. Since it was just a modified preexisting lift vehicle, it's no trouble to redesign
  13. Ok, so I took my medium to heavy duty Lift Vehicle the Hestia II and mounted a custom orbiter and the Peryton to it. It is a nightmare to fly! It's definitely one of those "Fly straight up and turn left" type of vehicles! As you can see the modifications to the Hestia II with those larger fins. This is the view from the camera of the Peryton down to see the other two fins added to stabilize this thing better. The scientists decided to rename this lifter the Hestia II-M due to the modifications done. And I realized it will be another year before the launch window opens up for Eve! So I am thinking of remounting the orbiter and boost glider assembly to another launch vehicle in the meantime and aim for Duna first, since that window is coming up sooner. The way this thing flies, it may be good the guys get time to just design an entirely new launch vehicle from the ground up.
  14. Just my opinion, but launching strategically placed relay sats is part of the fun in this game. One game I went a wee bit overboard and had 4 over Kerbin, 3 over Mun, and 2 over Minmus
  15. Or those direct comms transmitting to a relay sat somewhere?
  16. Nice! Can make a side trip to Gilly as well
  17. When you start to see flight path lines and apogee in front of real aircraft
  18. That, my good sir, would be an excellent idea! So the point of 'lost' is based on the outer most edge of the outer most star, so to speak. It seems doing it this way could very well create a potentially unlimited universe for the lil guys and gals to explore with minimal Kracken attacks.
  19. Definitely good points. The front set has a slight angle, but I may fiddle with the entire length in more depth. May require further designs for each planetary body with an atmosphere. I know we can reasonably assume that this will be required for maximum efficiency, but I still would love to try it out in all circumstances regardless... I mean... Kerbals afterall
  20. When I read this the first thing that came into my mind was an event horizon! We can make reasonable guesses on how KSP2 could possibly act based on other games using a coordinate system in a virtual 3 dimensional space, and I do understand what you are saying. My thought was before any of this happened, regardless of outcome, that they would simply consider craft and kerbal lost. Of course, @swjr-swis could be right and they code it like a pocket universe based on Hawkins theories as well. Code-wise that's easy enough to do as well, or maybe they actually model it with a SOI of a black hole in the center and they let it go like KSP where you never leave the galaxy. They can even do something entirely different and unexpected. So I was curious, which way would you guess the devs handle this?
