Same here, I just chose what I think I use the most for a lot of missions. It really depends on the mission as to what I use. I think of the entire list, only the LT-05 are the only thing I have never used.

Been hectic on Kerbin and in the space around it this week. Testing on Boost Gliders continued until Val returned from Mun... she hitched a ride back with Jeb aboard the last flight of the Atlas II HMML (Heavy Multi-Module Lifter) after he delivered the last four modules that allowed Val to complete the KSS Shooting Star in Muner orbit. With Bill having put the finishing touches on the SSTO Lamassu, he is turning his full attention to the Peryton. Meanwhile, Val had to test out her new toy to be sure it was to her standards... Things will be happening fast now with the addition of 6 new kerbanauts and talk of creating a nautical branch... exciting times ahead...

Thanks, that is actually what I settled on and installed already! Great minds think alike I started on 3ds studio and even worked on autodesk 3ds max when it came out, but that was back when. No money for anything else anyways these days

I have done 3d modeling in the past, I had written mods for games such as Freelancer, but alas, this was many, many moons ago. That is why my post is non-committal. I am not worried so much about the modeling as I am about introducing the textures and meshes into the game. Doing that is why the question. No problem thanx for your input, it is appreciated! Now back to our regularly scheduled subs and buoyancy program.

When I see "balanced" used in this context, I see it as referring to game balancing, after all if we were to have tech to properly contain antimatter safely and for extended periods, as well as use its 100% conversion rate it would be game breaking. *Added - just adding the same idea that using a fully functional Alcubierre Warp Drive drive does not destroy the destination when you come out of warp.
-
@ColdJ Little off topic so forgive me, could you direct me to a good info source on creating a mod for KSP? Especially dealing with adding 3D models to create new parts. If not that's fine. Apologies, I was just considering taking your modifications and creating a separate mod pack.
-
I have both mods but may be a bit before I can test.
-
Not basing it on a mod, or Star Trek, or even popular misconceptions. The thing iisan antimatter drive can be anything we wanted it to be ingame since one does not exist and cannot exist with current technology. Basing it on what we do know that one antimatter collision releases about 2 billion electric volts of energy, which is more than any nuclear fission or fusion or chemical reaction could ever get near, especially if you are using the same mass of each 'fuel' type, no comparison.

New Dev Diaries #9 "Orbit Tessellation" is up!

I always thought it as a rocky dust ball like Mun... But if there's mint ice cream I guess it has to have water somewhere right? Something along these lines is exactly what I'm hoping for myself, I do think it will be a delicate balance between what has been said previously to where it becomes more of a grind and a hassle versus just fun. Based on everything I have heard so far I am very optimistic that if KSP 2 were to have this style of intermediary resources included, it would be in a simple yet challenging way that wouldn't require constant attention or hassle, nor would it become a roadblock to the point of being game stopping.
-
Curious, why would you assume that?
-
I agree, it depends on what you mean by favorite. Duna is one of the most visited in my games because it's a central fueling and colony station. Laythe is a bit like a favorite tourist spot because of the views.

I can't wait till FRIDAY!!!!
-
I did, I sold it. Everyone is different, every situation is different. I have seen many many years myself. * This seems to keep going in a direction that I am not venturing to on a games forum. As I said, I am not arguing and my statement stands.
-
This is a valid point. We need to know the kind of investments and type of investors involved. Professional investors will wait years, amateurs will not. If the investment is their main source of return they may feel pressure for quicker returns to paybthe bills where if it is only as a side, they may feel they can wait if they believe what they've invested in. But of course the end game is to make money. I am honestly not trying to counter-argue anything so much as I am trying to drive home a single idea. Unless you know the investors personally or the money involved and the why, you are doing the same as everyone else (yes myself included) just making guesses based on your knowledge. Nothing more, nothing less. At the end of the day you could be close, but at the same time you could be way offbase. There are just too many unknown variables. * There are more things discussed but I myself think it's a pointless discussion due to the unknown. Plus it's late here and RL is calling LoL

What version doesn't have the orbit and maneuver node glitches?
Dientus replied to minerbat's topic in KSP1 Discussion
What I have witnessed is similar to what @FruitGoose stated. I noticed it when I returned to KSP a couple of months ago. At that time my game upgraded and I do not remember it happening before. Sadly, I do not remember what my version was previously. From what I can tell, it is related to time warping. The error seems to be to a lesser degree if you use the green FF button next to the Nav Ball to warp, but it is still there. When it does happen I only need to make a correction burn of 50 dV or less so far. It does appear to occur close to or at SOI changes, but I haven't confirmed that. The only time I experienced anything similar to the flashing in and out that is described by @minerbat has been on moons with very small SOI's such as Minmus and Gilly. However if I just 'get it close' and do the first burn, halfway through the flight I can correct it with a minor burn to capture either moon with little error after that. Maybe try 1.8 and see if it's still occurring for you? -

The sales price you quote tie in a very large part to supply and demand remember. This is just food for thought using pre-COVID stats. In all of 2019 Brazil sold about 5.82 million computers that could potentially run KSP. In the fourth quarter ALONE United States sold about 19 million computers. Huge difference. The demand is just not there in Brazil for games let alone niche games like there is in the USA, hence the price is lower. True there are other factors in play, economics is a vastly complex subject, but this related to my original statement that consumers often do not understand their role in driving prices locally let alone globally. Base reference for numbers. I fully acknowledge they may or may not be 100% accurate, however the difference is inescapable: https://www.statista.com/statistics/525711/sales-volume-of-personal-computers-in-brazil-by-device/ https://www.statista.com/statistics/576151/unit-shipments-pcs-united-states/

LOL, well..... but I understand your point, it has definitely stayed at this rate for quite a while where A rated games are concerned. I think platforms such as Steam and GOG can be thanked for that. Yes, in the USA my industry (automotive) is still hit hard by the severe lack of computer chips, we are still 24 months out on waiting for the tools and software for Nismo alone, let alone other OEM's. One thing will stay the same, supply and demand. Consumers often forget they drive the economy. Demand for some things is very high, for others it's very low. We can make educated guesses but the truth is economy forecasts carry as much credit as weather forecasts. Afterall, they didn't predict the time or the extent of this COVID ... situation (gotta stay PC) Anything can happen between now and KSP2 release... literally ANYTHING.
-
That's the industry standard for games and has been for a few years. So it's not bad as long as it lives up to the A rated expectations. What has me worried is with this covid economy fluctuation and subsequent trillions of dollars spent by USA alone, they may not be able to keep it at that price by release date due to inflation and high taxation.
