I am not accusing Intercept of anything. I am 100% on KSP2 teams side. My answer was strictly related to Mr. Aziz's speculations, in the most general sense. Besides this, no.. they have not shown a decent amount. Not even close. You have no idea how big this game will be.

Or what if game development companies were actually professional and communicated constantly and clearly while also respecting their promises and deadlines? I think it's insulting to players to say it's their fault. We want to find out more about a product, have a clear idea when it will be delivered and what it will contain. Companies should not hide or lie. Lack of communication is as bad as irresponsible communication.

Am I the only one that will prefer KSP than KSP2?
Vl3d replied to Aerodynamic Kerbal's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Amin. That's where the fun stopped for me in ReStock+. KSP1 is great for building exploratory missions. Definitely NOT for infrastructure. At some point you have to spend hundreds of hours to build something functionally useless just to tell yourself you're better than other players. I am not a YouTuber, so my creation dies on my PC. Motherships, space stations, colonies, fuel production - completely useless unless you like the grind of career mode and you spent your childhood playing Lego alone and telling yourself stories. -
It's Friday again, but I have no hype today. Let the weeks roll by. I think the odds are high for pre-release bonus and collectors version of the game.

So do you guys think the $60 price point sets some very high (AAA) feature and quality expectations for KSP2? What other $60 game would you like to compare it to?

Aside from terrain (destructible terrain and crash sites, rock fields, lava tubes, caves and underwater) I would like to know know his take on weather (rain, storms, clouds, lightning, vortexes) and modern Unity graphical features. Also here are some crazy celestial body ideas to inspire you. Which of them are interesting or possible?

I just hope we get core gameplay improvements and upgrades for free for the lifetime of the game. And I hate microtransactions and minor DLCs. A huge expansion DLC once every 2 years should be fine. I also think there should be financial incentives for very high quality mods.

Yes, just a light shader is enough, for a little more realism when landing during a methane rain storm.

I know it is, but think about the origin of the name and you'll realize how sad and unfair the situation is. My apologies for the off-topic, it's related to the inflation.

Kerbal Space Program 2: Episode 5 - Interstellar Travel
Vl3d replied to StarSlay3r's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Nate: https://screenrant.com/nate-simpson-interview-kerbal-space-program-2/ "There is a much wider variety of resources that you can harvest. We even have a system that lives alongside the colony system that's called delivery routes, and what it allows you to do is automate resource collection and resource transfer missions that start and end at a colony. So, if I want to just go dig up some stuff somewhere with a specialized drilling vehicle, and then bring it back to a colony? Once I return to the colony, I can make that a delivery route. And then I will continue to receive that amount of that resource in perpetuity, and I can move forward to go find other stuff. Similarly, when I'm transferring resources from one colony to another, I can automate those kinds of missions as well." "...if you go dig up some rock somewhere and bring them back to a colony, you can automate that mission. If you've gone to a new place that has a new kind of rock on it, then feel free to bring it back and automate that mission."- 344 replies

I think it will still be $60, but we don't know. Hope we get updates soon.

Kerbal Space Program 2: Episode 5 - Interstellar Travel
Vl3d replied to StarSlay3r's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
You just have to account for the Kerbin-Moho transfer window. I think journeys will have that type of cyclic behavior. It would repeat the transport you did when recorded, with a minimal direct transfer DeltaV requirement. You don't automate cyclic logistic runs using complex slingshots (maybe only using moons). If you try to, it will say "journey parameters will be similar in 100 years". Then you're forced to do another supply run that's more conventional. Abstracted only in deep space, visible at takeoff and landing, yes. But also what I said above: supply runs should be very simple, without fancy slingshots. You have to optimize for the minimal cycle, not for minimal DeltaV.- 344 replies

I still support vessel automation by using recorded key-frame autopilot actions repeating when travel parameters are optimal.- 344 replies

Math and physics are not grindy because every problem needs a different, new, creative approach. Be like math and physics. PS: And computer science and chemistry. Biology is grindy. :))- 344 replies

I think you have no idea how many potential KSP players just don't know about KSP. The forum has linear growth with just a few hundred new accounts per month and a few dozen regular posters. There is a lot (lot!) of room for market growth.
