  1. Funny. The circumference of our sun is about 4.3752 *10^9 m . 100Ly could be the distance to the next star system, but it's a little bit too much. 4.247 Ly is the distance to Proxima Centauri e.g.
  2. What's that c value ? It's about 100 Ly ...
  3. Well I can not confirm this. Yes, bugs, but I have a rocket in stable orbit around Kerbin with an awesome animated little green Kerbal doing an EVA with magnetic boots on the surface of his rocket looking deeply impressed by the beauty of the blinkng stars of the galaxy... no, I can really not understand what you mean.
  4. I am curious: what could the diameter of Kerbol be ? Perhaps then we could get an estimation how far this star system may be away in lightyears (Ly). For solar system the next star is Proxima Centauri (4.25Ly). Distance from Earth to Neptun is ~1/10000 from that. If you define the diameter of the solarsystem by the means of the Oort cloud that factor shrings to ~1/3 . If you define the solar system by the means of interstellar space (bordered by the Heliopause, what Voyager 1 just crossed) it is ~1/2000 . So the next star from Kerbol could be lightyears away... or much nearer (but then perhaps we should see it as a very bright star... perhaps strange dark matter ???). Since the nature is a little bit ... extraordinary ... at Kerbol (planets with incredible high density...) everthing is possible
  5. Keep up your good work ! I know a litttle bit how laborious but also satisfying it is and really appreciate it! Indeed, per aspera ad astra !
  6. Interesting! Would be good to know if that is also the case in space. Could indicate to numerical solver problems if they do not take the level of fuel into account for center of mass but also for moment of inertia.
  7. Confirmative here. Definetly a bug.
  8. That's good to hear ! They do all this for the first time, isn't it ? So let's all be patient and understanding with them, they are trying so hard :-)
  9. Nope. Not for me, sorry. Clumsy is nice if done right, but that was... rather annoying. So ok, but better than in KSP1 please. But more funny animations of our beloved Kerbals, yes please. But don't take the control from me of their movements. Clumsiness or not. Lost too many of them when falling down somewhere... goes like a stab through the heart each time.
  10. Already (not) there. Nothing happening when pressing <Shift> key.
  11. Ah, o.k., you're right. I take the 55% then :-)
  12. KSP Version 0.1.0.0.20892 Unmodded stock steam release Launched via stock launcher Operating System and version (Windows 10, Windows 11) Windows 11 CPU and GPU models, any other system information which could be relevant CPU: Intel i9-13900K GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT Description of the bug In the VAB the Additional Part Info doesn't show up when pressing Shift key which worked before. The functions does not come back in my program session for at least some hours. Expected Behavior When pressing the Shift-Key there should be a window showing additional details to the part one is looking at in VAB part selection window. There is a small desciption "Press shift key for additional information" indicating this and when program is initially started this works correctly. Observed Behavior Pressing Shift key does not show any effect at all Steps to Replicate Unknown, happens randomly Fixes / Workarounds (if known..) Restarting the program A list of ALL mods. If the list is long, please consider using a spoiler window. None Other Notes / Screenshots / Log Files (if possible..)
  13. Yes, that's Über Böse !
  14. How comes ? My system is not much slower (1390,RX690XT,32MB 7GHz DDR5), but I have only 10fps at start (small rocket). What graphical settings do you use ? Interesting, perhaps the 64GB ? But due to TaskManager no problem... I don't understand this difference. So for me 10fps is not the problem, but the missing realtime capability is. And I am curious why the big fps differences. I will try some different rocket designs, perhaps leading to realtime capability and getting 60fps at launch Update (always using maximum graphics settings) : FPS with 3 part simple rocket >60fps during launch. Realtime capable. With 15parts: >50fps. Realtime capable. 30 parts: >30fps.
  15. i9-13900K TUF-RX6950XT 10fps during launch (all max. settings) AND: Far away from realtime ! Did anyone noticed yet ? For me the launch is the most problematic concerning fps. In space >60fps, no problem => The realtime issue is a hint that there are problems with the numeric solver yet, so they have to use a very small stepsize to keep it stable. That's bad news for me.
  16. No bluescreen until now. What else do you want ? Well, no, I quite enjoy it; yes there a a lot of bugs, without question. 10fps during launch with my system is quite astonishing (i9, RX6950XT), but I am sure, they will improve
  17. They have obviously worked on the physics core code ("Physics warp" e.g.). I can say from experience that this is very courageous and rare if you have a super stable physics engine like KSP has. Chapeau. Works fine so far. O.K. some "minor" border and friction problems ("falling through Minmus"). Just finish your great work dear collegues ! :-)
  18. KSP2 is great so far, just tested it for an hour. I have a quite powerfull PC and have some strange FPS values too, but let's wait and see. Have only two resolutions to choose from (HDMI standards, not my 1920x1200), that's my biggest problem so far. => Solved with: But great! Just quickly set up a test rocket, it flies straight out of the planet system... without asking further questions :-D ... whow, it's quite long ago I used the stock planet system (only use RSS). How easy this is :-) I am very happy so far, the story continues. Party on !
