Kerbol System Renewed v0.3.0 Volumetric clouds support! About Kerbol System Renewed is a mod that moves around stock celestial bodies to be similar to our solar system, including changing the orbital inclination of planets and eccentricity for a more true to life and challenging experience. In this process i've had the need to implement a new gas giant beyond Jool to better accommodate the already existing celestials bodies. This is my first mod and post on the forums, but i've been playing KSP for 7 years. I plan to add more features as i learn. Any feedback is appreciated. Existing features All stock celestial bodies keep their original size and characteristics for gameplay purposes. New gas giant with rings further than Jool called “Juni” with volumetric clouds. Kerbin inclined to 23.5 degrees to simulate axial tilt, all other planets and moons follows this inclination, with their respective changes in their degrees. All bodies have a rotation rework and follows their real life counterparts. Most bodies have been moved to a more true to life experience without major overhauls. Gilly now orbiting Duna. (Deimos) Minmus now orbiting Juni as the first moon of the system. (Enceladus) Ike moved as the further planet from Kerbol. (Pluto) Laythe now orbiting Juni as the second moon of the system. (Titan) Vall now oribiting Jool as the last moon of the system. (Callisto) Tylo now orbiting Jool as the third moon of the System. (Ganymede) Bop now orbiting Ike. (Charon) Pol now orbiting Jool as the inner most moon of the system. (Io) Eeloo now orbiting Jool as the second moon in the system. (Europa) Planned features Juni rework Adding small ring to Jool. Minmus volumetric geyser jets. Laythe denser cloud coverage. Duna smaller ice caps. Known bugs Juni's volumetrics are a v1 so there will be improvements, they may look choppy on certain angles. Now since it's orbiting Dres it's out of communication range so it has no control. I gave up on trying to get it to Dres orbit normally so I used Lazy Orbit by Halban on Spacedock. I did this since the purpose of this mission was to get a cool photo for my profile banner so I didn't mind. I hope you guys like the photo, until next time!

I can only assume this is a bug caused by a mod. Basically what happens is that when I put a vessel in orbit around the sun (regardless of distance) and return to it later, it blows up due to overheating (even if there's radiators on the vessel). Also, going into EVA will instantly kill the kerbal you send out. Both of these can be prevented by turning on "Ignore Max Temperature", but I obviously don't want to have that on all the time. I need some help diagnosing the problem. Extra Info: It doesn't matter what vessel it is, whether it's just a command pod or a probe with 8 radiators around it, the glitch seems to persist regardless of the vessel's design. So far from what I've seen, any other orbit doesn't seem to cause this glitch. Just Kerbol orbits. What I've done so far: Removed SystemHeat, Kopernicus, Galaxies Unbound, KSPIE, and Far Future Tech Verified Integrity of Game Cache Start a new game to see if it affects that one (it does, so my save isn't corrupted) Here's also some screencaps with KerbalEngineer up to help with the diagnosis. Does anyone know how to implement the attenuation of sunlight intensity with distance? Where can you edit the sun light source? Now, even if you fly very far from the native star, the light intensity does not change. I want to fix it. If there is a ready-made mod that does this, tell me.
