  1. No, that's not what I'm interpreting: "KSP 2 is dead dead dead, it seems. Even if corprorate wants to put out a "we're still working on KSP 2" and then go completely loveing silent forever, it's over until we get actual evidence of the contrary. " This first sentence indicates he doesn't know more than we. I could be wrong however, I have a hard time to interpret English text right tbh.
  2. This discussion reminds me too much on my time in World of Warcraft. I spent almost all my teens on that game. Was it part of my life? Clearly. Did it teach me something? Certainly something about progress, motivation and goals. But is something lost because I don't play the most recent patches since many years now? I didn't play as much KSP as some of you guys - shameful 2~ years to be accurate - but a big take away from my gaming experience is that the biggest slice of any game teaching or telling you something is always achieved in the first steps. Most things happening afterwards are reiterated over and over again until the player is mastering his skills to meet some kind of end goal proofing you're a specialist. There is only one problem: Some games have no end goal. KSP is just such a game. The deepening of some skills might be fun and such but there is nothing obvious you lose. If you can talk about life altering things you probably have learned it already. You have taken it and nobody can steal it from you anymore because it's in your mind now. The only thing you really lose - and that's very precious for many people - is your passion. I understand that. Passion never really falls from the sky at any time. It's like a rare moment in life where you make the right decision and hit the point and now you ride a wave for a longer period of time. But at the point where you only feel pain or think your life depends onto it you should try to rethink whether you still ride this wave or not. Maybe you're on the surfboard, thinking you have a safe stand these days but in fact the sea is just dry and your board standing still on the sand. Maybe -and I certainly don't want to judge - you just don't want to see it like it is. If you play this game for so long it makes sense to me. Nothing holds up to eternity. It didn't do it for me at least. I see it like this: If I hadn't stopped WoW, I would never have played KSP. Maybe there is the next best thing around the corner waiting to be found. You just don't know it yet. Endless missed opportunities because you play KSP for so long. Oddly, no one is talking about that.
  3. I admire this simplicity, but such a chatty species can't be satisfied with mere answers I'm afraid.
  4. 11'580 minus 5% makes 11001. Still far over 10'000.

  6. It was said that they will talk as soon as they can, but bureaucracy can be quite a torture at times. If they don't talk within 48 hours I begin to believe we will hear something end of June at best. The team has a heart. I believe in them. Something will be said. They just can't talk now and they feel the pain too.
  7. Little bit of A Hat in Time, trying to get the last few achievements. Little bit of Bloons TD 6, 'cause love Tower Defense. Have an itch for Satisfactory. Actually playing around with simplistic rockets in KSP2. Got an AOC Agon PRO AG276QZD 2 1/2 weeks ago replacing an 15~ years old no name 720p@60hz monitor with VGA connection only. Got that new monitor for just 600€ as second hand. I never knew what 'black' is. Now KSP2 looks astonishing to me. Only can't use HDR because of the state the Linux world is in. Hope that changes in a few short years.
  8. Thought about replacing "like" with "love"? Part of love is also suffering, love includes parts of likes and dislikes, ups and downs, it's rather idealistic than rational as opposed to "like". Don't you think?
  9. Having various roadmap goals is not specific. There are no further details on what is included like planets, certain parts or how multiplayer will be exactly realized. Those are still big question marks, even for us in the forum. Yes sneakpeeks, but it isn't promised on the front page god beware.
  10. Dunno man, Take2 did response at least: https://x.com/Take2Interact/status/1786735368550641696 It's kind of a clarification.
  11. I understand "Warning" just as literally as it stands. If someone says 'possible' it's not more to interpret. I miss the explicitly.
  12. I'm just dropping an opinion here, but I still think the news is completely hyperbolic until a CM or Nate proofs it otherwise by declaring an end to the development. How often did I read an obvious news hoax and almost everyone would believe that? With all we know 'KSP2 dead' isn't a 100% proof statement at all. It's guesswork. Unfortunately, most beliefs contribute to a self fulfilling prophecy whether it's liked or not. And that's what I actually fear when it comes to negativity in any kind of situation. Wish you all more positivity on that.
  13. To me, that looks like a mirror. Cynical wording often isn't accounted as insult in various communities including the famous Reddit. Intellectual insults are rather complicated to moderate as the borders blur out over the sentences and paragraphs turning out to be sarcasm in the end of a post or a part of it before realized. Thus proofing that even intellectual people just do want to beat up each other because they felt misunderstood and can't control their behavior perfectly fine at times. Guess, emotions need to go somewhere. A good example is my answer of the first quote I made. It's edgy at worst, but you know what I mean. /thread
  14. So no one said something was playable, right? You didn't took the framing into account and tricked yourself into thinking something worked which didn't. Hence why I ask you about your perception. Your question alone makes no sense anymore.
  15. Can you define 'playable' by your perception? That term seems to be misused every so often because of the vague definition.
  16. God bless robots, they don't need to waste their time with toilets, food, social interaction and other human desires... Geez.
  17. The most important hint was that the next update should be done faster than For Science! as said by Nate. Since it took 10 months you would assume 0.3 coming well before October. 'Multiple updates' means at least 2, but let's be realistic and take 3-4. That makes 0.2.2 probably this month(it's more or less about time), 0.2.3 maybe end of april, 0.2.4 maybe in June or beginning of July, which would lead the colonies update in mid to later summer. Mid if 0.2.4 would be the last patch before colonies. Doesn't seem too tight for me and actually realistic.
  18. I found 2 bug reports in the archives suggesting it might be no bug. Couldn't find any explicit statement however.
  19. So, what do you think how much work would be needed for implementing low poly models? Just 'better than nothing' is hardly enough to justify the amount of time that probably would be needed at the moment. I get what you mean, but I think that it does more harm than good and doesn't even meet the expectations. Looking at the performance jumps from patch to patch, that's at least equal from what I would expect from you approach right now.
  20. Someone will build a Dyson sphere around Kerbol at some point.
  21. Sure, I totally agree with that, but I don't think it's as simple as said. Like many people on other communities stating they want a game to just use up more cores for better performance don't seem to understand that you can't simply distribute every calculation on all the cores to get more FPS. A graphics card sure is similar on that argumentation and sometimes the graphics alone isn't even the root problem. Because a code piece by itself can be a limitation too. Bet there is already lots of work on their list for graphics. I mean, they care about old and different systems and colonies needs the optimization after all.
