Today's non-visual update from the Bill Space Program: --rolled out v0.7 of the carrier ship with the basic structure (including hangar deck) and framework in place and minimally strutted. Nothing fell off! --added booster section (a sizable cluster of Mammoths) and test-launched v0.8. --fixed some stiffness and fuel flow problems in the LV-N cluster over course of three launch/reverts --cockpit views look pretty darn awesome, especially the LSO station inside the hangar deck. --maintained attitude control through 70km despite having no reaction wheels or RCS. yay, gimbal! --did not achieve orbit although there's plenty of dV and acceptable TWR after booster drop. Issue is uneven fuel flow to the KR-2L Rhino engines. --lower hangar space door assembly needs additional stiffness. --still needs interior/exterior lights, reaction wheels, kittehkattwalks in the hangar, solar, comms, engineering section, life support... --bridge is pretty minimal so far... still deciding who gets to sit there. Pretty confident I'll have it in orbit in the next session. I may complicate matters by trying to design it to land on a low-grav world and do its own drilling. If that sounds too hard, remember this ship is going to need hundreds of tons of fuel. Let me put it another way: it would empty Emiko Station in about four fill-ups. So yeah, might rather solve the landing problem than fly fifty or sixty mining shuttle missions.

The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that even if your daughter and her BF did like that movie, that's just about the last thing they'd ever tell you. -
He's got it right. The only one who needs to be afraid of Kenlie's agonizer is Kenlie himself.

He could have been trained to shoot at obvious targets and at spaceships. Also, drama! And don't forget, he has to compensate for recoil using the jetpack!

No, sorry. Kenlie Kerman might be crazy enough to be a writer, but he's not quite crazy enough to do graphic novels. Well, he did leave enough on board to drive the ship into Gilly at about 300 m/s Aww, what't the big deal? So there's an evil race of sadistic murderous lunatics who destroy every 'foreign' craft they see and are so violent they even carry around pistols on EVA. It's not like they'll be able to figure out where Kerbin is, or find KSC, or-- ...uh oh. High praise from the master of the omninous unseen enemy, thank you

Not that you shouldn't be terrified, but no they can't really see the future. Kenlie Kermulan knows about Jool, and the big ship, and that Clauselle and Melbe will be on it because Kenlie Kerman does. The rest is fictional speculation... so far, anyway.

Can you imagine a Kerbulan warrior grinding out mining missions? Not likely! Even the Kerbfleet crew got sick of singing "fifteen tons" after a few trips So yes, he's out of missiles and low on liquid fuel. What will Kenlie Kemulan do next, I wonder...

My daughter (she's 13) had a good idea for how to do it if reproduction ever appeared in the Kuzzterverse: "Two Kerbals get married, they move into a house together, and after a while a kid just appears in one of the rooms." Yeah, she plays Minecraft, why do you ask? -
You're right, he's out of missiles. Phew! I guess we've got nothing to worry about now! That was Le Scansat (so named after Clauselle reprogrammed it) and the Alouette. Here's a link to their intro in Eve: Order Zero Chapter Two. for anyone who needs a refresher Brace yourselves, indeed. This is for real... Thanks I might be having a little TOO much fun with the Kerbulans...and before anyone asks, no this is not a mod, just powerpoint Ever closer... ever closer... TurboJet Intake Resouce = MULCH Correct. We never really established the full scope of conflicts on Kerbulus, but the S.P.Q.K. (Kerbulan Empire) definitely preys on their local equivalents of Kerlington, Rockomax etc. to gather science and funds. (i.e. "tribute") Here's a link to the closest look we've had so far at Kerbulan society. More coming... if you can take it

I was waiting for 11 people would show up claiming to each have a 10% stake. Now that would be Kerbal economics! Fun direction, many factions--you might need to start up your own canon page to keep it straight. Enjoying!

Yup. I landed the Gliido with Bill and Kenlie in it, and am working on the REDACTED again. You'll see a page when you see a page.

Fun way to run career, starting with only $1000--c'mon, go all the way masochistic and reduce the funds paid per contract to a pittance as well Anyway interesting read, good luck with the career!

Changing the terrain detail does it. In my case they were buried at mid res and elevated at low res.

The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete

Ooh, I think that may be one of the few Airplane tropes we haven't used yet--at least one of the ones that wouldn't violate Community Guidelines. -

Awww, now THAT's twue wuv! -
To be perfectly clear, I am not proposing a Rule 2.2k for "Is ____ cheating", or for anything else-- I'm just guessing that such a proposal has come up before within the mod community, and am hoping they can tell us something about that discussion.

The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete
Mister Dilsby replied to Just Jim's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
You mean everyone in the whole story gets a suit of plot armor? Oh, my dear Jim--how can you possibly have suspense over whether someone's dead or not if you've promised not to kill her? Maybe you're just promising not to capriciously try to kill anyone, but if it happens it happens? Come on, man, there's your out--walk it back! Sometimes you just have to kill the cutie--or at least threaten to. ...and they say my 'verse is the "cuddly" one. -
Certain topics are forbidden because they inevitably lead to rule breaking, mod abuse and thread locking. There are the obvious ones, like discussion of religion and politics, and then there's others more peculiar to a game forum. (I'm looking at you, Rule 2.2j!) So, I imagine that there's already been some behind-the-scenes discussion on adding a Rule 2.2k to ban other perennial problem topics, such as "Is ____ cheating?" I'm curious to hear some of mod community's arguments for and against adding such topics to the 2.2 list, and to a larger extent how you guys determine the balance (or try to) between allowing free discussion and putting too heavy a load on the moderator community. Thanks!
