Fair enough. That's what I like about New Horizons - other than Kerbin and Laythe, everywhere else oxygenated is a hellhole. I was wondering why you were asking about getting sued over the names, that explains it. Kronk will be dense- Tylo gees- but if we’re talking “not to be left” atmospheres, Venus-style, ask Sunev. It'll also have little ocean. (Spell it backwards!) I'll be honest, the planet I suggested requires so little texturing i could probably just do it myself.

This is the equivalent of NASA getting a contract to repair Starship Flight 7, looking up and immediately seeing the debris field. And then being blamed for it. As for that satellite, best thing to do is put a seismometer on the surface. At least it'll give a faint munquake.

This is the C-70, a plane I built on Console, which I have just gotten around to translating to PC. Basic stats: Part count - 231 Top speed - 1500+ m/s Takeoff speed - ~100 m/s Crew - 1 Cost - ~320,000 funds Mass - 322.46t Propulsion - 29 Whiplash Engines Features The C-70 was built as a successor to the B-series of planes I built back in, 2022? or something like that. As such, it features a split rudder, which can be used as an airbrake during landings. This particular design is a departure from previous iterations, as this plane has the innovative feature of not smacking the bottom of the rudder into the ground every takeoff. The flush cockpit design can, on certain occasions, be used as an ejector: the two cones forming a lifting body. Even with one, it's usually enough to pull away. Even with some incidents. the pilot can survive, as demonstrated by Val in a test model. Even with these features, the plane has one last trick up it's sleeve - it can circumnavigate Kerbin in under an hour! As shown here, the craft can easily fly the whole length of Kerbin's equator, and superheat the planet's atmosphere at the same time. But don't just take my word for it - the craft is now available on KerbalX, right here! Please note this was built using Restock - I have no idea if it will work without it, but none of the parts are from mods themselves so it should be fine. (also can someone please tell me how to change kerbalx thumbs?)

(Feb 23) Jool V - the hardest mission I've ever done...
FTLparachute replied to FTLparachute's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Y1, D136 - The 5 science detour! After being an idiot yet again, I decided to kill every part/game mod I didn't need (why i didn't start with this is beyond me). This unfortunately resulted in the entire J6 craft file being lost, as I had thought before hand that keeping NFLV installed was a good idea (3.75 - 5 adaptors are copy/replaced by NFLV, so part ids were different even if performance was the same). Everything else was also expunged, including a config I kept of KA to use the Titanus legacy hardware (I had edited the NERVs to make performance identical to stock, which in KA's case is a buff) Point is, I went back, built a new rotorcraft and mothership again, and tomorrow, that thing will be launching, and taking on the Jool V challenge without me going mad again. Today though, we're circumnavigating Kerbin, by air. Not by ground - I'm too time strained to do that - but using the C-70, a plane I translated from Console as some calming after flunking this mission again. The full thread is here, if you want to take a look yourself. Now, the attempt. This was spearheaded by new recruit Piper Kerman. She was enlisted to the Jool V program out of a batch of roughly 500 candidates, but was unfortunately denied after Felipe Kerman walked in at the last second and bought the entire KSC a lifetime's supply of snacks. The main argument for the flight was high-altitude observation of 1P/Beslin, the first comet discovered by Kerbals, and noted for always being active. This was not half-wrong for Piper - she has a certain liking to space rocks. The Attempt Now, you may be asking yourself, 'Why, FTLparachute, did you put this unrelated mission in this thread, even if this was is the Jool V save file? Well, that's because Piper Kerman went and got 5 WHOLE SCIENCE POINTS. Yeah that's about it. J6mk2 is going up soon, post will least be by friday, cause i've gotta go all the way back to laythe. yay. Also, I did the calcs, I can get rid of one other Kerbal to take Piper. Might have to do some experiments on Leavin Kerman.- 37 replies

Well... These are some ideas I have, mostly from messing around with Universe Sandbox for a bit. Would make these into a mod if I wasn't useless at texturing (and not busy with like 50 other things too lol). -Very dense planet, about 350-500km radius, very thick atmosphere and global LH2 ocean, AKA Hyper-Eve. Not to be left. -Metallic asteroid, with some scrapes and lumps on it's surface, maybe Minmus size. -Proper Pluto-esqe body, as in massive glaciers alongside tholin-covered mountains. No idea for size. -Kerbin-like planet with oceans, icecaps and grasslands, nothing too abnormal except for a massive impact crater, about Mun-sized across. White haze from steam in atmo. -Just a though, but I'd love to see some sort of T CrB setup with one of the systems (roche lobe could probably be done with KopExp rings if they're locked to each other) (maybe that could be Calisfinor?) -Phaethon-like body, with lots of EVE clouds and the Moho stuff from AVP. Never seen one done before. -Ceres-looking body, really just want to see a Occator Crater knockoff done. Also, as for the current plans -Looks good, If I ever get big on Kerbalism I will make sure the configs for this mod are hellishly lethal. -The name 'Ovous' seems to fit more with an oblate body for me, but it's probably just my personal taste. Maybe swap the names and designations? I feel like I remember Gigantis better than Califisnor e

The Third Great Number War: The Long Haul!

THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE NUMBER OF POSTS IN THIS FORUM GAME. P -15- 30,726 replies
