So should I uninstall the stuff labeled "New Tantares" and "New TantaresLV" on CKAN and go look for the current version, or is it still called that? I don't see anything that's just labeled as plain "Tantares" or "tantaresLV"

Now that the main version is 1.11 compatible should I switch to it over the bleeding edge version I've been using? -
I pretty much only play modded Career mode. More science is invaluable with an expanded tech tree.

B9 is required by basically every other parts mod in existence, as far as I know. It's not like it's a big dependency like Kopernicus or something, and it helps reduce clutter in the VAB!

I was getting terrible performance with just visual mods installed, and reading back it was absolutely Planetshine that was causing the issue. Things went to regular framerates with it uninstalled. That said, I do appear to get random forces acting on parked rovers sometimes with collision turned on, with stock non-deployable wheels. They kind of start slowly spinning around for no discernable reason if I pause the game and resume Ignore this, I am stupid, my joystick needed recalibration- 2,843 replies

[1.9.x] Contract Pack: Bases and Stations Reborn

OK So I already scanned the mun and minmus with hires altimetry, and didn't realize the base contracts weren't triggering because the part named changed. I went into the configs and removed that requirement to have the part unlocked, but all the other conditions are still unmet. Will it just never make contracts for bodies that were scanned before I changed the contract requirements? "must have orbited a body with a surface that hasn't had a HiRes scan performed" and "Must have between 0% and 80% high resolution altimetry coverage of the target body" are both still unmet even with me having 100% coverage of both Mun and Minmus. Is there a way I can go back and fix this somewhere in the configs or in the save file? -
I already smashed it into the Mun but just the adapter part had the flat grey unshaded texture on it, I'm using 1.11 and Tantares 23.2 off of CKAN. It might be the same with the fairing parts left over from 1.10 and I just never noticed it?

I like this Venera lander cause it's more modular than the Coatl one, but I still use both. Well, Lunokhod has some pretty unique wheels, I hear those are really easy to make in KSP and always work flawlessly. On a more serious note, I'm looking forward to more early Soviet probe parts, of any kind, to be honest. The early landers and probes are really overlooked in the West

I really want that little ball part that goes on top of the Luna probes, Rocket Emporium has one but it doesn't fit on the Contares Luna parts without tweakscale, and it's just nice to have things already fit together.

Why does my Vega size 2 to size 1.5 inline adapter have no texture? It had one before I updated to the 1.10 version (I'm using 1.10.1) Oh man do I want some proper Luna parts that I can put together myself. Rocket Emporium kind of has the eggs for the Luna missions, Coatl has a full set of Venera 9 parts but the only other mod I've found is the soviet probes pack, and I don't think they match the stock aesthetic at all. I would LOVE some lunokhod rover bits holy crap. Nobody's really made the wheels or really any of the other stuff like the flip up solar panel lid and body, which is surprising since the only thing that's broken the distance record of Lunokhod 2 was Opportunity. I'm gonna download this immediately.

Oh, nice ! I had been trying forever to remember which mod had those in it. I definitely don't know what I'm doing but I'll try and troubleshoot them. I'll copy everything over to its own folder and mess with it there

Was this the contract pack that had you drop weather buoys around Kerbin? I'm trying to figure out which one it was because those missions were really fun. If they've been removed could I get the configs for them to remake/update them myself?

Everything seems to load in 1.10, I'll report back if I find anything that's actually broken. Disregard that, I'm loading the wrong instance again... OK, so the only part causing a loading issue is ca.explorer_solar. The drag cube is messed up according to the log, which seems to be a consistent thing with mods in 1.10. The only other issue I can see is the textures unlimited fancy shaders aren't there. I also don't play with all the possible compatible mods so ymmv The engines that I put on the surveyor lander body attach nodes also seem to be changing orientation when the craft is loaded for some reason
