  1. A robotic ship intended to transport equally robotic landers to Dres.
  2. Banned for writing text that highlights the illegibility of this text.
  3. 1/10 I may have seen you before, but I don't remember.
  4. That kind of event is part of the eschatology of all game forums.
  5. That thing makes the Mammoth tank look like a joke.
  6. I fulfilled my goal of landing Kerbals on Duna the "professional" way, i.e. giving them a decent place to live while they wait for the return window. The base was assembled in advance in a location chosen by my scouting rover.
  7. It took me a few tries, but I finally managed to land within 500 meters of Troy base, where my surface Kerbals will be living until the return window opens. Lomore is alone for now, but another Kerbal will arrive shortly! A happy, historic Kerbal. Lander Aeneas on the surface. Mothership Dido in orbit. Mothership Helena approaching Duna.
  8. Not yet, but I once tried to do it on purpose in my LolSat program - two satellites, two directions, one orbit. One could say it was a lot harder than I had hoped, and eventually they were both used for testing the then-new reentry effects instead.
  9. I had already experienced it in Orbiter, so it wasn't really a big deal to me. It was more like a satisfaction with having figured out how to control the rocket painlessly.
  10. Granted. It's raining men. I wish for some tasty cereals.
  11. A family portrait of the entire solar system.
  12. You don't really know unless you're using a mod designed to help with that, or if you put a protractor against your screen. It's mostly guesswork and maneuver nodes.
  13. I wait until the phase angle looks sort of right. Then I go to something that's already in LKO, play around with maneuver nodes and timewarp, and once I get my encounter I launch.
  14. The chutes do help a little, but unless you bring lots of them you can't really land softly on Duna without some engine power.
  15. I really don't know why, but that video made me feel happy.
  16. You know you're screwed when you aren't getting any further away from your previous stage despite having your engines at full throttle.
  17. 10/10 You are quite familiar indeed.
  18. Ah, spaceplanes are quite difficult for me as well. I have yet to reach orbit with one.
  19. I remember randomly encountering one myself while I was driving my very first rovers back in 0.15. It was very far away, however, and I didn't care enough to take a closer look at that time.
  20. Granted, but it's released in its present condition: riddled with bugs and general incompleteness. I wish for more apple cider.
  21. Manned landings on other planets. I generally try to make my ships as pretty and realistic as possible, so coming up with a plan and a design that works can be time-consuming.
