That booster mug is the best thing I've seen all day.

What do you feel like and look like while kerballing?

So, its the 'When will 0.22 come out guessing game' thread

Anytime between now and never. -
What are the weirdest things you've done in KSP?
Felsmak replied to Felsmak's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Most ships can't do it at will, though. -
Yes, can you remember doing anything unusually weird? Something that makes you chuckle a bit and that no real space agency would ever even think about doing? For me it has to be my first ever "satellite" back in 0.15. I had failed so many times to get NovaPunch's satellite parts into orbit that I just took its (at that time manned) unmanned command pod, launched it into orbit and called it a day. Years had passed before I let Bill, Bob and Jeb come home again. Poor guys.

The final stage of a possible Laythe lander after successfully reaching LKO.

What do you want to see in .23

New planets. Eeloo is not distant and isolated enough! -
If you're going for unmanned probes you could actually land there with a simple X200-16 fuel tank and four orange radials. This is the craft I did it with.

Poll: Kerbal Space Program's Mun Landers
Felsmak replied to AncientAstronaut's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
There's a fuel tank inside the command pod, with four radial engines coming out through the bottom. It wasn't enough to reach orbit, though. Had to use RCS for those final m/s! -
Poll: Kerbal Space Program's Mun Landers

The remains of the lander that remain at the Mun to this day. Lost and forgotten. -
A double probe on its way to Minmus, where one part will stay in orbit while the other lands on the surface.
-
I landed on Minmus for the first time in ages.
-
Definitely sub-assemblies. Building will get so much easier.

Or than whoever knew what gunpowder tastes like.

This thread is quite comforting. It's nice to know that I'm not alone.
-
It used to say "whose."
-
Witchcraft!
-
Laythe also looks a little eerie to me. It feels like I'm inside a Dalàpainting whenever I land there.
-
I feel ya.

Now that we're talking about creepy celestial bodies, I've always found Ike a little... well, creepy.

Mothership Helena arrived at Duna today. Bob Kerman (I feel that I've been neglecting him lately) then climbed into the Paris lander and prepared for the descent, and only a few minutes later he could create some fresh, new footprints on Dunan soil. Mission almost accomplished - now the return trip is all that's left to do!
-
You never disappoint, Whackjob.

A satellite picture of my Duna base.

I've started planning for a robotic Dres landing. I'm not sure if the ship will make it into orbit around it, though, and I have yet to design a funtional lander. Oh, well!
