Plane veers to the left. Stumped.

Hit ctrl-X to cancel any trim you may have inadvertently set, and make sure your joystick is centered. Those are the two most common causes on this sort of thing in flight. If it's happening while on the ground, the weight of the craft may be causing it to sag and flex to the point that the gear is no longer vertical to the ground. -
Due to popular demand (actually, one person), I have updated my old concept of a trainer which delivers two orbiters to space so that players can practice docking without having to fly a rendezvous first. The Mark 131 is a single stage to orbit launch vehicle which delivers two orbiters to a 80-90km orbit. Once in orbit, open the cargo bay and undock the orbiters and practice docking them to each other or to the mothership. The mothership is equipped with lights to assist in dark conditions. The two orbiters will return their pilots to Kerbin for recovery, but the mothership is not made to return. NOTES: Be sure to put pilots in the capsules before launch. Also, docking and undocking the orbiters scrambles their staging sequence, so be sure to reset it before staging. Craft file from Kerbal X: https://kerbalx.com/Vanamonde/M131-Docking-Trainer

Although about the game, there is enough math in this discussion to warrant placement in the Science subforum. And so, moved.

You will need to connect the rescue ship to the first ship with docking rings or the claw part in order to transfer fuel. If you do not have a claw on the rescue ship or docking rings on both ships, there is no way in the stock game to transfer fuel. However, you could have the kerbals take the science from the first ship and transfer it to the rescue ship, and then bring the pilot of the first ship back. Of course, you'd need an empty seat on the rescue ship to do that. As for bringing the ships together, that depends on the orbit, and I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by "semi-polar horizontal." How about a screenshot of the situation?
