This question about how to play the game has been moved to Gameplay Questions. Rapier engines will switch from air-breathing mode to rocket mode automatically, or by player command. In rocket mode, the intakes are not being used, and can be closed to reduce drag. Building up speed is more important than climbing quickly, which is why the planes are flying nearly horizontally (which I think is what you're asking about?).

I know that there are confidentiality issues involved, and this isn't something that can be discussed. (No juicy gossip. It's just a matter of courtesy and privacy.)

Could you explain what it is your intending more clearly, please? When doing so, please keep in mind that this forum has had problems with the arguments that go along with role playing, to the degree that we've had to institute a rule against it (2.2.j). This means that we can't have fictional organizations hiring, firing, or enlisting people, and that sort of thing.

Can't speak for each member of the team, since we have varying schedules. I spend 1-3 hours per day, depending on how busy we are.

One of the boss guys sends him/her a PM asking if she/he is alright, whether she/he still wants to be a moderator. Often, real life has intervened and the missing mod regretfully say no, he/she no longer has the free time necessary. Now and then, though, somebody will take a leave to attend school or somesuch, and we hold the spot.

The thread's question has been answered, and the discussion is now straying into disputing forum rules and policies. That never ends well, which is why we have a rule about it (3.4). Time to move on to other discussions, please.

The titles are just for fun. 1&2: They automatically update after you have submitted certain numbers of posts. 3. None whatsoever. And, you can go to your profile and make up your own to substitute for the stock one you've been assigned. Click on the pencil symbol on the upper left to open the edit screen, then change the text in the "member title" box on the first line.

What is going on in here? Please pick only one candidate at a time. Such as, oh, I don't know... @katateochi
