  1. Hello cpy, and welcome to the forum. (I moved your post to its own thread. ) Anyway, your first few posts must be approved by moderators until the forum software is sure you are not a spambot. So if you're posts haven't been showing up right away, or in the order you submitted them, that's why. However, you're past that stage now and shouldn't have anymore problems.
  2. Do you have any Kerbals in external command seats? Those can cause bizarre and catastrophic forces when you attempt to dock with the station. (Also, moved to gameplay questions.)
  3. The game is a work in progress, and performance optimization is not a priority at this point in its development. Not all of its major features have been implemented yet, let along optimized. That being said, they've made some big improvements in the last couple of versions. Anyway, if you let that kill your enjoyment of the game, you're only hurting yourself.
  4. A downloadable sandbox ship and written/illustrated walkthrough for reaching the moons is here. That ship is much larger than it needs to be, to give a learning pilot extra fuel and thrust to correct mistakes. A much more efficient ship made for use in career is the third one in the first post of this thread. It uses on parts from tiers 0-3.
  5. The lab has a door on each side. They come out one door right side up, and the other door upside down. Don't ask me why, but that's what happens.

  9. Lots of people ask for newbie-trainer moon rockets, so I made some. This is a written walkthrough and sandbox ship you can can download to fly it with. As for career mode, the third ship in the first post of this thread can reach both moons, and uses on parts from tiers 0-3. I hope they are helpful.

  12. This is a delta-V chart. Add up all the numbers between your starting and ending locations, and that's how much delta-V the trip will require. (I didn't make the chart, by the way.) As for thrust/weight, it just depends on how long you want the burns to take. There's seldom a need to do a rapid velocity change for anything other than launches and landings, so you can get away with long, fuel-efficient burns, if you've got the patience. When I'm sending interplanetary missions, they usually accelerate at 0.1 to 0.25Gs.

  16. I'm sorry, but I'm not following what you're describing. Some pictures might help. One bit of advice, though: try moving the camera view around until you are looking at the target attachment point from the side, 90 degrees from the plane of the target surface. That often helps.

  19. I've seen an occasional bug in which the ladder will not appear in the extended state in the VAB, though it works on your actual ships.
