  1. Awesome! This is one of the last pieces I've been waiting on. Thank you.
  2. I don't know what y'all have going on, because mine is working (navball size and offset) between launches and even game restarts. Windows 7, 64-bit, non-steam version if that information helps.
  3. A capsule with a heatshield and parachute couldn't reenter properly. This is the simplest reentry, and most likely to be most new players first. The fact that this problem made it into release makes me wonder (whether or not it deserves it) how the QA process works.
  4. I use a mod to make the navball larger.
  5. I can tell you it has absolutely nothing to do with KJR.
  6. I once got a warning on the forum for "discussing politics" for saying Hitler was a bad person, so there's no telling what the policy may be. Personally, I think that if you want to fly a swastika flag, you should go right ahead and do it. It lets the rest of us know to keep away from your nazi-loving ass.
  7. I do not grok the module manager syntax, but might it be because the prelaunchDefaultThrottle line now exists in 1.1 by default, and it didn't in 1.0.5?
  8. Sheesh. I didn't have to deal with a neighbor, but I'd get home at 7:30, go to bed at 8:00, and at noon the (now ex-) wife would be waking me up saying "I'm bored!"
  9. Sorry to see you go. Good luck in whatever you decide to take up, and thank you for adding to our KSP enjoyment.
  10. Glad to hear you're working on this wonderful mod. I look forward to seeing it again.
  11. We are here at Kerbal Space Center, where we've secretly replaced the structural integrity they usually have with Folgers Crystals. Let's see if anyone can tell the difference!
  12. I remember only back to the mid 90s myself, and it's changed a lot since then. I had to use my university account to browse the web in a text-based web browser. (Looking at this site in a text-based browser is just painful.) Edit: Ouch. This is so much better now. Forum bug report: Quotes don't work properly under the ELinks browser.
  13. Good point. When you go to see a Superman movie, you just have to suspend disbelief, and not complain that Lois Lane can't tell the difference between him and his normal person disguise, Peter Parker, the billionaire playboy with a secret hideout at a school for wizards.
  14. There don't. What we need is a system where each user can make their own categories. No one set list of types is going to work for everyone, because not everyone plays the same way, or with the same type of craft. Some people may not even want their crafts sorted by "type", but might want "location", or "fleet", or "number of parts", or any other category they decide. Even if Squad were to add ten user-defined categories, it would go a long way to what we need.
  15. "Never let the facts get in the way of a great story" is how my father described the book/movie.
  16. Honestly, yes. I would like a chance to contribute to the testing of a game I care about.
  17. Just because people are willing to play it with low performance doesn't mean they like the performance and have no desire to see improvements.
  18. Thank you. I very rarely look at the forum front page, so I hadn't noticed that addition yet. For people who purchased the game before a certain point, yes. For people that purchased afterwards, it's not an option.
  19. Do you have a source on that? I saw it mentioned earlier, but I haven't seen it from an official Squad source.
  20. Isn't the timer supposed to be yellow?
  21. I've been playing for years, since before there was career or science. Most of my games tend to be career mode. I use sandbox for testing mods or various ideas, but career mode is where my serious playtime is. I like the progression, stepping up from suborbital to orbital, and beyond. However, I hate the ever-living hell out of contracts. I'll accept a few of them, if they aren't getting in my way. I'm going to the Mun anyway, so I'll accept the "Explore the Mun" contract. I'm going to be in orbit, so I'll accept the "Return science from orbit" one. I've only ever done one rescue, and that was just to see if Chuck Kerman was a pilot. If I get a part test that involves some part I'm going to use in the normal course of a flight, I'll do it. But I refuse to go out of my way to do any of the contracts. I did install a mod to reduce building prices and the Science Funding mod, though. I like career mode, but I don't see any reason to let it stand in the way of me having fun.
  22. I've never been to Dres. Or Moho. Or the Jool system. I've orbited Eve and Gilly with a capsule, landed a probe on Ike, crash-landed a probe on Duna, and gotten a monolithic station in Duna orbit. And I've been playing since 0.15.
  23. I've thought about getting it, but I'm a barely competent computer pilot without a lot of free time on my hands. I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy some of the more advanced features of it. I haven't done any FSX modding. I know my way around adding aircraft, and swapping panels, but that's about as much as I've done.
  24. Are you using the Accusim version? I haven't tried that one, but I love the regular version quite a bit.
