  1. OV-105. I had to learn the shuttles by Orbiter Vehicle number to talk to my father, as he did not know their names. Reference to shuttle missions by STS number is quite common, as well. My vessels tend to have three designations: Class, Vehicle Name, and Mission.
  2. I've modified mine to be available as soon as decouplers are.
  3. So this would mean that only he port that is occupied in the future would be unavailable, but other ports on the station would still work? I think I'm following what you're talking about, and it actually does make more sense than what I feared could be the case. I'm just really glad somebody finally answered my questions.
  4. Enjoying cartoons is fine. Non-child cartoon viewers are only a problem when they start trying to make their fandom the most important thing in their lives.* It depends on the movie. Sometimes you sit there and just want the horror to end. The good filmmakers are the ones that put in stuff for the parents stuck watching it with their kids. *Of course, this is where most fandoms become an issue.
  5. So in this situation, A would occupy the docking port, and B would see it as empty, but would not be able to dock to the station at all? Hrm. That's interesting. Would this also apply to collisions? If the player in the past runs their ship through the solar panels of the station while somebody is docked in the future, does the ship pass through the panels without damaging them?
  6. Oh, well maybe he can answer my questions:
  7. I'd just like to say thank you for your efforts into this. I've considered looking into it myself, but I just haven't found the time to really dig into the understanding of the details needed.
  8. No, I did not. I was merely amused by the irony. I find those two situations to be quite different. One provides the player with a challenge that must be solved, the other abstracts away that challenge. Some people do enjoy solving a problem like that. Obviously, you are not one of those people.
  9. Don't worry, someone will soon start a poll to answer that question. Would that help? -Yes -No
  10. I find it amusing that the best way to simulate an autonomous vehicle is to make sure there is always a human in control of it.
  11. Landing also separates the landing gear from the fuselage. And the wings, and the tail, and the engines, and the...
  12. I've got 1.1.2 installed, but I'm not playing right now. I got tired of the install, wait for mods to update, install patch, wait for mods... cycle, so I've been playing something else. It's a cycle I go through of playing and not, and 1.1 released at a low point in the cycle.
  13. "Flying a plane is just like riding a bicycle." Surely, you can't be serious?
  14. Exactly. I'd rather have more/better things to do when I get somewhere, than more, rather nondescript, places to do not much at.
  15. There's going to be some traffic from the people that come to the forums looking for answers to why the game isn't working for them, which only ends up skewing the results further.
  16. I think he meant that more in a "show up here so I can talk to you" sort of way.
  17. Have they removed the ass-stupid fire reference from Gus Kerman yet?
  18. I would have preferred Squad not have gone "beta" after 0.24. It's been an endless stream of "Why are you doing this?" since then, and the response has always been "We have a choice, we're not being forced, but we have to do this now for undisclosed reasons."
  19. I rate my landings by how far the ground crew has to walk to pick up all the pieces.
  20. So, in one case, Steam users have access to something no one else does, and there's nothing wrong with it. In the other case, Steam users don't have access to something other people do, and that's just a disaster? Guess you should have bought from the store. It's just too much effort for Squad to accommodate everyone equally.
