  1. Meh. I'm a fan of neither hugs nor trailer park space centers.
  2. HGR has a two Kerbal capsule that fits 1.25 or 2.5 sizes. I've been using it for a while, and it's become essential to me. It really fills the gap between single pilot craft and later missions; now with different crew specialties, it provides a great way to give engineers and scientists some experience without giving up the pilot capabilities. I would love to see a stock 2-Kerb capsule rather early in the tree. Until then, I'll keep using a mod to patch this oversight.
  3. This explains why it would be spread out. You don't test rocket engines next to an office complex, or build a childcare center across the street from the explosives testing area.
  4. Install it, test it, and let us know. (I haven't had any problems with it.)
  5. But then they'd still have the awful trailer park stuff.
  6. I'd just like to say thank you for threads like this. Not only do they help people find out what's updated, but it also helps some of us find out about mods we didn't even know existed.
  7. Hrm. Wright Flyer. Was that solid or liquid fueled rockets? I'd love to see a tech tree where we start off firmly grounded in post-WWII level technology. For the runway side of things, propellers rule the skies but jets are starting to become common, and rockets are starting to push the barriers even further back. On the other side, sounding rockets and other suborbital flights are the best that can be done, but crewed rockets should be an early node.
  8. It belongs in the past, when small rockets were being built out of junk. Not in the present, where the program is capable of launching a crewed vehicle. I am personally not a fan of the craptacular space program, and find it rather silly.
  9. Johnson Space Center here is kind of sprawled out. There's a central campus that houses most of the facilities, but there are several clusters of buildings set away from the central area. When your R&D people are testing explosives or rocket engines, you don't do it in the middle of an office complex.
  10. That's my problem with it. It fits with low tech level, just starting out, maybe a sounding rocket into the upper atmosphere type space program. The craptastic look does not fit with a program capable of launching Mercury or Vostok level flights. If we could start off with uncrewed rockets and work our way up, it's not as bad. As for the graphics, I'm more interested in flying than sitting and gazing at the buildings. #BringBackTheBarn(ButInAWayThatMakesSense!)
  11. They said that it turned out not being as fun as they thought it would.
  12. Do you have a source on that? Edit: Thanks, I missed that.
  13. Squad said the damn silly thing wouldn't be in 0.90, but they would put it in later after they fix the problems people has with it. They get complaints that it's in the game, then they get complaints that it's not in the game. Make up your minds, people!
  14. How disappointing. Well, it looks like the first step in starting a new career is going to be wiping out two Kerbals from the save file. And it will always be the same two.
  15. KSC: Billy-bob, we need you to turn your ship normal. Billy-bob: Uh, KSC, I don't know quite how to do that. KSC: Just point at the marker on the navball. Billy-bob: Negative, KSC. There's a purple triangle in the way. KSC: Uhm... 5 minutes later: KSC: Ok, Billy-bob. We have a new procedure. Billy-bob: Go ahead. KSC: We want you to get out of the craft, and stick a flag in something. Billy-bob: Roger, KSC. 2 minutes later: Billy-bob: KSC, I've planted a flag, and now I've found that I can point at an arbitrary point on the navball. KSC: Copy that. You are go for pointing at the thing you couldn't find a moment ago.
  16. My mother's family is from rural Ohio. They grew up down the road from a family that makes syrup, and my aunt who lives here now occasionally goes back to visit. She brings back gallon cans of it.
  17. This is pretty much how I felt. The barn/trailer park could work and fit into the game. The problem is that by the time the Kerbals are launching a manned capsule, they would have moved on from such facilities. If the lowest tier of technology were small unmanned sounding rockets, then the barn idea would fit. But it just doesn't work when you're running Mercury or Vostok programs.
  18. We can get the stuff down here, but it's expensive. The artificially flavored cane/corn muck they tend to eat around here not only tastes bad, but it gives me a headache.
  19. Has anyone figured if it's possible to edit the Kerbal Pilot/Engineer/Scientist class in the save file?
  20. No, of course not. There's "syrup", which is made from maple sap, and there's "stuff-that-should-never-be-poured-on-french-toast". I've heard the second one in made from corn.
  21. That's one hell of a typo. It's spelled "syrup".

    Star Wars 7

But they fixed that later, where Han magically leans over to dodge the shot. So that makes it all better and then everyone loved the change.
