New Suit for DLC 3
razark replied to GoldForest's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I was not prepared for the movie, having read the book. One of these days, I'm going to have to rewatch the movie, but I would still like to see an adaptation by someone who's read it, too. Another decent sci-fi show killed off during it's first season by a certain network. Some good parts, some bad, and some outright silly, but overall I liked it enough to own the DVDs. -

I'd like to know what happened to the movie they were making of the novel that I heard about two decades ago, cause I've never seen any movie based on it. -

Yeah, those powered armor suits would be awesome. But what's the picture? -
First contact protocol for fictional aliens...

Teach them to clean up their planets, grow plentiful food, establish world peace, and offer them trips to our home planet. -
But that's a Saturday. I don't think they do releases on a Saturday.

Well: I'd say that a horse is definitely "self-movable", even more so than a car, and therefore counts.

Would a space vacuum jet produce thrust?
razark replied to Spacescifi's topic in Science & Spaceflight
If that's what it does in your sci-fi framework, then yes. Otherwise, it's meaningless. -
This is the question that no one has answered yet. And it's the one that needs to be answered if we're going to consider continued updates to KSP that don't involve paid DLC. What content would you consider to be outside the realm of moddable? I've seen a lot of different mods covering a vast area of stuff. The chances that whatever might be possible has been touched on in some way by a mod is quite high at this point. Further, there is a difference between mods and developer-developed content. Modders can access the program in certain ways, and only in those ways. Many mods have been implemented as half-working hacks that barely get the job done, are prone to bugs, and full of inefficiency.1 The developers have direct access to the code, and can add what they need to get things done in a much cleaner method. 1No offense to the modders meant. I appreciate the hard work you folks put into it.

Hrm. May not be so lucky, then, but I'll poke my source.

Do you have any idea if the same font might have been used in Shuttle? I might have someone that could pull up some information.

What did your first rocket look like, and what did you do with it?

Pointy at the top, burny at the bottom, fuely in the middle. As for what I did with it? I launched it. And there was no sandbox when I started. -

What is the dumbest idea, you ever thought of, and done?

Well, I got a couple ex-wives that might fit this topic. -

If you are so opposed to giving Squad money for DLC, what do you propose that you give them money for? -

(Not sure why that quote was under my name.) True. But when you do, the capability exists. -

Tuesday, we got an email that our contract got an EXCELLENT rating. This was, of course, "due to the hard work of all of you". The next day, we got our certificates for our years of service (on this and previous contracts). Basically, I got a (non-personalized) piece of paper that said I occupied a chair for at least ten, but less than fifteen, years. The day after that, we got out annual evaluation (the ones we filled out and management basically signed with no real understanding of what actually happens on a day-to-day basis) results. With the quote "I think everyone's score went up this year. Not that it matters. Next year, you'll probably be working for another company." Today is payday. Guess what none of the previous events involved. <sigh> -

KSP will be available for exactly 37.295 more standard imperial time units, before it will suddenly, with no explanation whatsoever, be removed from all platforms currently offering it for sale, in addition to the three that have not yet begun to sell it, much less exist. There will be a large outcry by the community, of course, even greater than the (now legendary) Great Forum Decoupler Revolt of 2021 (RIP to the many users (and both moderators) lost. We hope that they live forever in the memories of those who survived. May their stages ever separate cleanly!). Most of the threads complaining about it will be consolidated by moderators into two main threads, the first titled "Why did T2 stop selling KSP? (and where did Mexico City go, anyway?)", and the much longer thread, called "Why has Harvester returned, and what, exactly, do our new overlord's demands mean?!?" There will, naturally, be no answers to the many questions posted to these threads, beyond the often repeated coordinates that will ultimately be determined by @[oops, she hasn't created her user account, yet] to be located at the not-yet unclassified Apollo landing site on the dark side of the moon. (Hail to His Majesty! Please forgive me, Great One, for I am only revealing what the sacred texts told me was to be known at this time!) Shortly after THE EVENT, the 12 Holy DLCs will also be removed from the store, as fear and terror envelop the true leaders of the world. I meant to say: your guess is as good as anyone else's, at this point.
