  1. Thank you!!! Love this mod and thank you for all the effort you all have put it
  2. I keep having this problem... Sorry if this is just something I missed, but is this a common problem and is there an easy solution? KSP 1.1.2 (The issue is with mirroring on, they are not mirrored in the same orientation on each side.) Love the mod, can't wait to use it!
  3. Wow! This mod is really amazing!!! Thank you so much for making it.
  4. Is there any way to get KSC Switcher without downloading the whole torrent..? Or do I not know how to do this
  5. For me, dx11 makes the game run slow and some text gets messed up... is this normal? Any other way to have shadows work?
  6. Looked back 3-4 pages, didn't see anything about this... These bugs are really getting annoying. I'm pretty sure its an issue with the terrain shadows, disabling the terrain shadows make it go away... What's the cause of this? and how hard would it be to fix? What can I do (other than disable shadows) to fix this? *edit* I have no idea how to embed an album... But here's the direct link
  7. Is this broken for Stock KSP? It always seems to be off by hundreds of kilometers for me
  8. Any way to have a less sudden transition from Ocean to No ocean once in space? it just goes from ocean, to bare seafloor instantly, and takes 20-50 km to transfer to ocean once again.
  9. I'm getting no ocean textures as soon as I leave atmosphere to about 110km, I just see the seafloor. http://imgur.com/a/NghBU Log here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzwBQu9jNY8cOEhZeDZFbHY3SEk/view?usp=sharing Ocean textures look amazing from the air though
  10. No matter what I do, I can't get a transfer window to Mars in RSS with the information given. When I try to set an intercept to mars, the intercept is either away from mars by 10 degrees or so of Mars' orbit, is more than 100 days longer than planned, or requires ridiculously long braking burns at Mars. Any tips?
  11. My goodness gracious, I am so sorry! Thank you so much for linking that!
  12. I'm using Real Fuels with RSS, and I'm having problems. NASA proposed missions to Mars use Liquid Hydrogen and NERVA engines, so I tried the same. No matter what I do, I can't get it to last more than 100 days. Since NASA has plans for using Liquid Hydrogen, I assumed there was a way to keep it stored for long periods of time. I know its next to impossible to stop boiloff, but is there any way to slow boiloff enough to utilize it like NASA plans to? By reconfiguring the NTR for “bimodal†operation [9] (both thrust and power production), the BNTR can generate 10’s of kilowatts of electrical power (kWe) for crew life support, high data-rate communications, and zero-boiloff (ZBO) LH2 propellant storage using an active refrigeration system. Part of this article from Stanford (http://large.stanford.edu/courses/2015/ph241/gerrard2/docs/20120009207.pdf) shows that at least Stanford believes that LH2 refrigeration systems are possible. Are there any mods out there that simulate this part of realfuels? Extra stuff (http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/20110004377.pdf)
  13. Well I hope something is figured out, I'll have to keep looking into the problem. I'd love to see some active refrigeration with realfuels. *Edit* and yes, I do believe it is, the tanks only last 100 days but maybe that is just due to a lack of refrigeration.
  14. The LH2 rate in realism overhaul is much higher than it is in real life, or at least it is similar to standard thanks, but there is no way to bring it to the rate used by the Copernicus MTV in real life. I think values should be adjusted to their real life values, as in real life it is very possible to use LH2 for long term exploration Missions.
  15. Avast! I am loving KSP RO, but I am running into problems on my Mars Mission. The liquid boiloff rates are just too high, no matter what I do all of the fuel boils off within 100 days. Radiators, sunshields, pointing the craft at the sun, cryogenic and ballon-cryo tank. The planned misson to Mars using NASA's former MTV Copernicus (Shown in this Stanford study) uses ~230t Liquid Hydrogen tanks with NTR rockets, just as my testing article does. The Misson at its shortest would last about 545 days which means that in Realism Overhaul's current state, it is highly difficult (if not impossible) to use cryogenic fuels for long term missions. This is highly unfortunate, as in real life cryogenic fuels present an excellent option for manned solar system exploration. Tl;Dr The boiloff rate for liquid hydrogen (and possibly Lox) is highly exaggerated, with no present way to slow boiloff. 16. Hello! I'm having problems where on vehicle loading, the craft spontaneously flys apart... any tips? I know it's a well known bug, but as soon as I load my craft (on an escape trajectory towards Jupiter) the whole thing starts shaking violently and destroys itself. Along with that, F3 confirms the craft "collided with the launchpad" I know I haven't provided many details, but this is getting hard. I'm afraid to use quicksaves because of this, so any ideas to fix spontaneous craft destruction on load? (nothing in F12 menu works either) EDIT: It seems like relaunching the game 3-4 times fixes something!
  17. Is there any tips to reducing LH2/LOX Boiloff? I'm trying to go to Mars with cryo fuels, but they all seem to boil off very quickly.
  18. KSP keeps crashing on me when I try to launch a craft from the VAB, I don't know what is going on. Output_log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzwBQu9jNY8cSWNOcFRFcklVR2M/view?usp=sharing Modlist: http://i.imgur.com/n62lcDt.png
  19. Usually the file will be pretty apparent. If you look in the file, it might look like "Realfuels.zip/Realfuels/gamedata" put everything in the gamedata folder of the download into the gamedata of the KSP install. If there isn't a gamedata folder, check the readme. On an additional note, how do you change the number of ignitions on an engine? I'm looking for it in gamedata, I checked Realfuels which handles engine ignition and ullage. I can't find it there, or anywhere I look... I'm looking to change the J-2 of the FASA pack (2 restarts) to the J-2X (8 restarts) Thanks!
  20. I used to have this problem all the time, I do believe its a problem with the game calculating the center of mass. For some reason, ditching the procedural decouplers might fix it. If that doesn't I don't know how to fix it. Also, Krakenfour, I have the same problem. No matter what I try I can't survive a lunar reentry without cheats. Will post more later.
  21. Cool video Daze! I love the mod!, but I keep getting these strange bugs.... Its hard to explain but as I ascend to orbit the ground and sea "flicker"... Looking at the horizon at low levels, there are graphical errors in the distance (green and rainbow pixels at the horizon). I tried reinstalling and it didn't fix it, so any help for my problem? Modlist: Video of problem: Output_log file: (game ended in crash) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzwBQu9jNY8cdkJwR2FtLXJOUnc/view?usp=sharing
  22. NathanKell, Unfortunately I have the same problem with that heat shield as well.
