Indeed, they're the International Maritime Signal Flags for the asteroid's corresponding letter.
-
I have made flags for the asteroids of Kerbal Space Program (Class A to Class E), for use in asteroid retrieval spacecraft. Here they are: They're arranged in size order, just save them into your flags folder.

Orbital Ring Space Station Challenge
Holo replied to took's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
What if this challenge were to make a ring around a smaller body, like, say, a Class A-E asteroid? That would still be possible, while still being difficult. -
I was saying it ironically. If it is wrong to say that the stock game could be better on the forums (as some people seem to be saying), then the suggestions subforum would be pointless. The continued existence of the suggestions subforum shows that it's not pointless, therefore it is not wrong to say that the stock game could be better. If the stock game is so broken that you need to mod already existing features, someone is doing something wrong.
-
Let's get rid of the whole suggestions subforum then. Who's with me?

Someone finally understands!

Don't worry, it's just you dragging the average down.

Gravity Movie --- Factual mistakes and goofs (SPOILERS obviously)
Holo replied to TeeGee's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Here's a movie that would satisfy you: 1). Rocket launches. 2). Six hours of real time looking at the astronauts faces, as the spacecraft travels to dock. 3). Movie ends. -
Reach for orbit with an ion glider!
Holo replied to zarakon's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
And if the challenge was "find as many loopholes as possible", then maybe you could put the information you just learned to use. -
Sure, but the "KSP doesn't need to be realistic" can be applied so generally (let's remove orbits! little green men might not have them!) that it's not particularly useful. Why do the devs update the game then? After all, if there is no best way to play the game, then how could being able to retrieve asteroids or being able to use maneuver nodes be better than not?

the ion engine is way too OP
Holo replied to lammatt's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Of course, since Ion engines will only work when you're watching them and you can literally do nothing else when they are on. -
I actually created a system that extended the asteroid classes out to infinity. Gilly is a Class T asteroid; Minmus is a Class W.
-
Why are you staying on the launch pad, then hovering etc.? Steps 1-4 can be done in your first flight quite easily. Plus, you can do landings and sample returns easily using the girders.
-
"What do you get when you multiply 6 by 9?"
Holo replied to Starwhip's topic in Science & Spaceflight
That's exactly what someone who writes jokes in base 13 would say. -
You want to deorbit Minmus? Buy SYK.
-
There are about 50 different symbols according to the OP, so that still leaves over 20 symbols unaccounted for.

He gave us free entertainment! Ha ha, we really got tricked there!

From the FAQ from that website: Is the design that is selected going to fly to space? No, as the Z-series is still in the prototype or non-flight phase. The cover layer of a non-flight suit, which is used for ground-based testing, serves as abrasion/snag protection, a cover for technical details, and to a lesser extent, aesthetics. For a flight suit which is actually used for a spacewalk, the cover layer performs many other important functions such as micrometeorite, thermal and radiation protection. These requirements drive selection of specific high-performance materials and design details that would preclude us from using many of the features you see in these options for the Z-2 suit.

Wait, new players start with Mechjeb??
Holo replied to Renaissance0321's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
None of the ones that actually answer the OP? A: Why would I want an easy mode instant gratification autopilot that ruins the feeling of accomplishment? B: Wait, other players get to decide how someone should enjoy the game? The link there is rather tenuous. Much better comments would be: B: It's not easy-mode instant gratification because... B: It doesn't ruin the sense of accomplishment because... -
Wait, new players start with Mechjeb??
Holo replied to Renaissance0321's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I feel it was about three posts in, when someone equated asking a question to deciding how someone should do something. -
Wait, new players start with Mechjeb??
Holo replied to Renaissance0321's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Oh boy, this really is going downhill. The OP seemed to read "I think Mechjeb usage is wrong, CMV", which is quite far from trolling. SAS is much weaker automation than OP's limit for what they can understand new players using. Observe the diagram: In other words, holding the same direction and flying to orbit for you are two entirely different things. -
Wait, new players start with Mechjeb??
Holo replied to Renaissance0321's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
What I don't get is how some people seem to want this fight to happen. In the first page, there are already posts complaining about how this person is telling other people how to play despite the fact that he's saying nothing of the sort. It makes me wonder whether they even read the post, or just responded to the title. -
Year 3910: Large numbers of Kau living in the Kerbal system are found to be infertile.
