  1. Watch the sidebar or the announcement page in the main forum.
  2. Why any Flying Tiger website or on the website is not covered SQUAD progress developing the console versions ? Good question!
  3. Me too. Squad has indicated that the 64 bit version has operation as stable or nearly as stable as the 32 bit so we have that at least to look forward to.
  4. Oh ya you are right. Oops sorry about that.
  5. Yes,your account should look like this in the ksp store. Click on the transfer purchase button.
  6. Pricing Financial Analyst with B.S. Degree in Astrophysics. Ya I know that doesn't make a lot of sense on the surface.
  7. Ya what this guys said, for more detail see devnote
  8. Unless you purchased before May of 2013 NO!
  9. Thanks totally cool. @pizzaoverhead can Kerbals really move round in IVA using your mod? Either way totally cool MOD as well.
  10. Google drive may be? there is a drive folder that auto syncs when you place files there, 15 GB of space so plenty of room for KSP saves. I think you can tell it what folders to sync.
  11. A. Why am I just learning about this mod now. It should have broken the internet. B. is the above really from 1.1? C if from 1.1 unless this is something squad shared isn't this a violation the NDA
  12. You will need to opt in, it is buried in the options for the game in your library. It is not available yet but here is how to find it. right click the game name in the library and select properties. Then click the Beta tab in the pop up window and then select the pre-release from the dropdown menu and a code will not be necessary.
  13. Or those of us who CAN take part on the bug hunt if we want, but still consider keeping you promise important and that the end does not justify the means.
  14. I am not forgetting this, and that is not the point I am trying to make, I can infact do the opt in beta if I want. Not my point, not my point at all, and I 100% agree with you. My point--------------> At some point at least 24 hour or more before the full release every steam user will DE FACTO have the full release before every other outlet. Which means Steam users are in fact being treated better, and Squad will have DE FACTO broken its promise it is users. Furthermore, as a side point, there is absolutely no reason to think steam users will not be parading their new "toy" around especially near release when most bugs are fixed. It will happen, Just saying.
  15. I don't disagree with anything you just said. I do take exception to the "good luck making your report stick", implied right there at the end, that was rather rude, and not very professional as a representative of squad. But as far as a refutation of what I said, it is not. Both what I said and what you said are true. there is no contradiction there. I know fully why Squad did what it did. It is efficient, expedient, and all of us will benefit. No question about it. It is still a broken promise though. First and foremost, it is the refusal to acknowledge that it is a broken promise, that has me upset. The principle of the thing. Keeping a promise is not always easy, but that is exactly when it the most important time to keep it. People will remember if you keep your promises, implied or otherwise, and will treat you in kind. That after all is how the Golden rule works. Edit: I was there when the conversations were had about how nothing will change. When it was brought up that something like this situation could happen in the future the person was shouted down. "That will never happen" I remember members of Squad reassuring us at the time that nothing like this could happen. I wish I could go get the web pages where the conversations happened but sadly most of the pages from that time were not archived. So i can only you give my word, which is not worth much. Nonetheless I remember!
  16. End of the day it is this :| After experimentals are over and open beta starts, yes at first it the game will still be full of bugs, but what about a week later, a lot less bugs I am betting and still a week away from full release. What about 3 days before full release. almost no bugs, very near certainly no bugs that will be fixed before full release. At some point at least 24 hour or more before the full release every steam user will DE FACTO have the full release before every other outlet. Which means Steam users are in fact being treated better, and Squad will have DE FACTO broken its promise it is users. Is it all a tempest in a teapot, YES. this is really a very small thing, it is the principal of the thing that matters. IF they cannot keep their word on something small how will we be able to count on them keeping their word on something big. like DRM for example
  17. No it is an open beta. Since anyone who owns a copy on steam can take part there is no application process. No this is not possible. Everyone who purchased via the KSP store after may of 2013 cannot convert over to steam.
  18. Well that is not quite true, DRM prevents (technically makes difficult) the the redistribution by a legal licence purchaser of software to others. In other words DRM id designed to prevent non-purchasers from accessing the software. Obviously there are ways around it but, it is irrelevant, also unless I am mistaken. This whole topic is dangerously close to if not over the line I think I will just stay away from this one going forward.
  19. This is a great suggestion. Or not
  20. I am sorry to see that you still have not reached $180 a month necessary to ensure you can handle the same level of usage Kerbal stuff had. Come on guys we need to make sure this project is a success. Help them out I am sure they have more than 10,000 users if they all contributed they could even pay themselves a small wage. Let's not abuse their generosity like we did with Kerbal stuff.
  21. Eeeek what happens if this update thing leads to people acting on the question??? Piracy is bad! If enough people do what you suggest we really would end up with DRM, please don't even talk about it.
  22. I see there is still some confusion between being an experimental tester and a Steam Opt-in Pre Release post experimental "tester". If you are a steam user you have the option after experimentals are over of opting in to play *cough* I mean "test" the new 1.1 for a couple weeks before official release and theoretically report bugs if you find any, so they can be fixed, though there is no obligation to do so.
  23. Dude, I am very displeased with squad as well (if you read up stream that is very obvious), but I am not sure you need to go quit this vitriolic. Edit: Though I fully understand where you are coming from, and Squad does have a bad habit of going silent when something goes wrong, and this often fuels the anger of those upset by their actions. Some time just an official, "Hay we are working on a response but it is not done yet" is better than saying nothing.
