Ok. I like the fact someone finally built one that works, but man, that thing's not exactly a looker.

Anyway, I was browsing the forum and saw this (http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/71723-suggestion-for-someone-s-next-project) thread. I thought, why not? and decided to give it a go. However the result was so good, I couldn't just leave it in a tiny obscure idea thread, so it got this one. I should mention that this design was based mainly on being able to actually work more than getting every detail to look right. Also I apologise for the upside down screenshots. I don't know why it decided to make them upside down but go figure. Without further ado, here you go: Alright, so one last thing. I don't know how to link an Imgur album. I tried embed, but nothing came up. So I'll link a few images and the link to the album. If someone could post the method for doing so, that would be great. The first version. This one may not be the one I've linked, but it's the best shot of it I managed to get. Again, sorry for the whole upside down thing. Some of the screenshots were fine, but these were not. Odd. This is the 2nd Revision version and the one linked. It's a little different, in that it actually works. Taking off. This thing was a pain to fly. I should also metion it's flying with Hack Gravity turned on. No, it won't fly otherwise. The one from the show shouldn't fly either, so I think this is ok. Firing the deck guns... Why? Because the wave gun is a config edited Sunbeam. I can't distribute that, because of the license on the Lazor mod. Oh yeah, you'll need the Lazor mod and the Sunbeam mod to make it work.

Sure you could. You'd build it out of the material you mine out, probably with it ending up far bigger than it started out. You'd be able to grow food and trees (for Oxygen) in domes on the outside, live on the inside and put engines on it for propulsion. I know most asteroids are almost solid metal but it's pretty reasonable to assume we'd be able to mine it by then.

You would probably eventually end up with only 3 species. One type of probably algae like plant that is so resilient that it could grow anywhere, one type of herbivore that can also live anywhere and eats only that plant and one type of carnivore that eats the herbivore. Or maybe the plant and a few omnivores that eat eachother and the plant. -
I would think that you would keep moving even if the earth stopped-also tearing up continent sized bits of land, and sending the oceans everywhere not to mention escaping lava. Pretty much the end of days for all but the birds.

Oh god don't get me started. My comp's terrible. Seriously, it's really bad. It's running on it's second graphics card, second sound card, third power supply and second hard drive. It's also old and only a single core. And though it has 2gb ram I think as it's still running XP it can't use all of it to run KSP. I've basically given up on winning the Formula K cup. However I'm still going to enter each race. Also, when the other racing leagues start I'll enter them too. I should also note that I'm now using the Lag reduction mod, which has helped. -

I'm starting to wonder if lag actually affected my time. I think I might be getting really bad times because while the game is lagging the in game clock is not. -

I don't think I've ever crashed into one of my own sattlelites, though hitting debris from early stages when docking space stations has often been done. -

Dude...THAT PLANET AND SPACE DONUT IS AWSOME! I mean, yeah, the shuttle's good but the amount of fun you could have flying around that planet debris or (even better) flying/throwing things through that donut would be huge. Keep up the good work. (BTW, if that donut's already set up you could stick it on/above one of the planets with the kerbtown plugin. Just an idea )

I have an Idea. How about once they have been collected, you send them to another planet? Not sure which one, but send the same crew, and keep the story aspect. I am tempted to try something like this but it's hard work (I can't do planetary transfers and am poor at flying around the kerbin system, relying on mechjeb for that stuff) But I still like the idea of a more permenant story driven mission. Hmmm.... -

Whoa whoa whoa-Boat racing?! That could be awsome...But you'd need to make some marker bouy's or the track would probably just be on flat water. Also-are those other ones going to be off road races? That could also be cool, and I presume they would take place near the KSC right? (Also, Mun Race. Just an Idea)
