  1. Well obviously you need some wings, otherwise you'll just fall like a rock. And then it's just a matter of fine control. Also, the wheels don't seem to work too well for me. I've had greater success with the skids.
  2. [mod]Okaaaay, I think this has gone on long enough and plenty of warnings had been issued. [/mod]
  3. Lots and lots of SAS modules, and lots and lots of R8 winglets on the bottom of your rocket, and a very light touch on your joystick.
  4. How exactly are you going to land that with that fin sticking out of its belly and no landing gear?
  5. No. Unless you count the Jebediah way of knocking the rocket plane over, then taxiing it to the runway and taking off from there.
  6. You say it as if there's something wrong with that.
  7. Yeeeaaah, seems to fly about as well as you'd expect. Jeb ought to be pleased.
  8. Not quite there yet. The engine should also be off-center.
  9. Psh, putting your engine in front of your center of mass? That's not the Kerbal way! Put it in the back where it belongs and make the wings anhedral for extra unstability.
  10. The worst Star Trek movie of them all. Obviously.
  11. I was referring only to the two rockets.
  12. How can you say that! The Saturn V just looks like a big tube. The N1 is sleek, elegant, and tapers to a point, like a dagger ready to pierce the heavens. Plus it's the underachiever, the underdog of the two. You gotta root for the underdog. And it was made by the Commies, who are of course the villains, if you will, and therefore far sexier than the 'Murkans. All those are reasons why the N1 is way cooler than the Saturn V.
  13. Very nice indeed. Epic music. It was singed off, obviously.
  14. Except that it's not a reactor, just a cooling tower. >
  15. The reason is that KSP currently doesn't allow you to choose which CM to use even if you mave more than one. Not really possible in the current version. The devs have said that they plan to give parts various attributes tweakable from within the VAB. I'm assuming changing the order in which tanks are drained might be among those.
  16. Slo-mo close-up of Apollo 11 launch, in HD, with commentary: http://vimeo.com/4366695 Edit: Also, watching Tyson just gushing over the model was amazingly fun. He's having a total nerdgasm lifting it up.
  17. The red bit doesn't go quite all the way to the edge on the left there.
  18. Or, and this is just a hunch, he might have been a homicidal psychopathic computer.
  19. Aw c'mon, use the search, won't you? http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=1296.msg11065 http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=1227.msg10538
  20. Dear lord, those seats look seriously uncomfortable.
  21. That's because the weight of the rocket is crushing the engine (~breaking it off from the rest of the rocket). What you can do is move the boosters downwards so that the rocket rests on them and not on the main engine. Example: When building very large rockets, always try to distribute the load between as many parts as possible. If you put all the weight on a single part, you'll break it off.
  22. Put that frown upside down... oh you can't. Cause I'm winning
