  1. Welcome to the forums! Hope you've been enjoying the game.
  2. I'm afraid this particular topic falls afoul of our guidelines against discussing conspiracy theories, so I'll be locking this one up. Y'all have a nice day
  3. Closed at developer's request. Please redirect all further inquiries about this mod to this thread.
  4. Welcome to the forums! Do you think you could give us a few more details on what's going on? What mod(s) have you downloaded? Where are you putting them in the directory after you download them? What have you done to try to get them to work, in general?
  5. Not entirely sure how this is a forum game, so I'm moving it to the main Space Lounge. Personally, the south pole of the Moon would be my personal choice.
  6. Closing this thread, as chat threads are against the Forum Game Rules. In space.
  7. First, welcome to the forums! I've moved this thread to our Suggestions and Development Discussion subforum, since that's where requests for new features and / or improvements to old ones go. Certain of your requests, namely #5, 7, and 8 are on our What Not To Suggest list (under "Robotics / mechanics," "Enhanced IVA / moving around in stations or rockets," and "Life Support" respectively). This isn't meant to be a criticism of the quality or desirability of the requested feature; we've just received so many requests and had so much discussion of these features in the past that we feel that attention should be given to other features that might otherwise get buried under the flood of common suggestions. Finally, keep in mind that the answer to any "Why hasn't [feature x] been implemented?" question may very well be that the game is still in development, and the developers may simply have been devoting their time and resources to implementing those features that are in the game as it stands now (which doesn't necessarily either guarantee or rule out those features being in the game in the future). Hope this helps
  8. Just dropping a small note in the thread to let y'all know that I've moved it to Suggestions and Development Discussion, since discussions of the basis and direction of KSP's general aesthetics are relevant to the development of the game. Carry on
  9. Given that OP's post is well over a year old, I highly doubt that anything further will be of much help to him at this point.
  10. (Emphasis is my own.) Before this particular chain of discussion goes on any further, I'd like to point out that just because someone disagrees with a particular decision the developers have made doesn't mean they necessarily "have a problem with" the game that automatically causes them to hate it. Don't read too much into things Just a quick heads-up to let you know that I've merged this thread into our main Grand 0.25 Discussion thread. Carry on
  11. Moving this to the Unmodded Support forums, since that's a better fit for a question of this nature
  12. I'm going to have to set aside some time to take a good look at this one later. It looks like it might be a good candidate for the Drawing Board
  13. It's a common glitch; the game has issues with calculating burn times for engines that haven't burned yet. As Kryxal says, "blipping" the throttle for half a second or so should give you an estimate.
  14. Friendly moderator reminder: Let's try to keep the snippiness and snide remarks at a minimum, please
  15. Welcome to the forums! Glad to hear you've been enjoying yourself, and I hope you continue to do so.
  16. Welcome to the forums! Feel free to make yourself at home, and enjoy your stay.
  17. I think it's safe to say that, in the absence of any news otherwise, Macey Dean is no longer making videos from KSP. That being said, I'll be closing the thread, since there's really nothing more to say beyond "Is he back yet?" "Nope." If he does return, feel free to create a new thread to let us know
  18. Sounds like you're on the right track here. Delta-v is, all things considered, actually quite simple to figure out. There are only two factors that really affect the delta-v of a given stage: the "mass ratio" (i.e. ratio of a fully-fueled rocket's mass to its mass after all the fuel has been exhausted) and the fuel efficiency of the stage's engines, as measured by its exhaust velocity. I used to have a whole huge spiel I'd type out to explain it in more detail, but nowadays I can just link to this handy website; the pages under the "Orbital Mechanics - Basics" section are quite useful for explaining delta-v in detail, among other concepts. You may also find these four web pages over at Atomic Rockets to be quite helpful as well, as they explain the idea from a real-world perspective.
  19. This sounds like it's going to be immensely fun to try out. I'll keep an eye on it.
  20. Impressive work. I've always been a bit fond of the 'Hog myself.
  21. I for one have always been a little partial to Duna, in part because going to Mars myself was something of a dream of mine when I was younger. Sadly, I didn't grow up to become an astronaut
  22. Welcome to the forums! A Virginia Tech fan, eh? We're practically neighbors! Glad to see you're excited enough about the game that you want to contribute something to the community. Since you mentioned that you're interesting in contributing to add-on development, you may want to check out some of the topics in the appropriate subforum. If any ongoing projects catch your eye and are looking for people with skills you possess, I'm sure your input will be quite appreciated. Hope this helps!
  23. Welcome to the forums! I used to have a roommate who was about that tall for my last year in college. He went by "Tall Guy" sometimes too Anyway, glad to have you among us. Don't be shy about asking questions, or sharing what you already know with others who have questions of your own. For my part, I've attempted to collect some tutorials on a few of the more common issues into a single repository called the Drawing Board, which is conveniently linked in my signature. Hope this helps!
  24. That's true, but since it's a more or less timeless topic and the necro has jump-started the conversation again, we'll let it pass... this time. (But yes, please check your timestamps before posting in a thread!)
