Ted thank you for all the work you did on the forums and of course B.O.S.S. And congratulations KasperVld and Odin. I'm pretty sure you're the right people to do this.

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.21 Discussion thread
Blinkin replied to blspblackdeath's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I haven't read all posts in this thread (yet), but about the clouds thingy which would probably only as a skybox... (clouds or clouds as in a skybox are two different things for me). I searched for a topic like this because I was reading the wiki and I saw some nice partially implemented features. One of them is... yes clouds! http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Planned_features And I remember months ago we had a preview of what was possible with in-game rendered clouds (live stream). It was highly WIP at that moment... I'm not going to speculate but it makes me a bit exited. Edit: About the saved games... you will have to start over with 0.21. HarvesteR said that in his last blog about the new Mün caters. He said that this was going to be a save breaking update so they also add other game breaking features like these craters which change the complete Mün terrain. -

Ooh you made an update, time to void the warranty again! I haven't tested it yet but the raise/lower buttons will be very helpful for some off my landers. Thanks for making this! -
[0.22] Shock absorbing landing legs V1.2 (21-11-2013)
Blinkin replied to zitronen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Mm nice, I just tested this out at the launch pad and went 168m high and felt straight down with the engine off (a very simple lander). Those 4 legs absorbed the impact which was 40m/sec! Nice idea, I love it. ^^ Simple test lander: -
Yes the zip file from spaceport is completely empty.

62 seconds with 6 mods in 0.20.2. Launching from a SSD tough... in 0.19 it was way shorter while I had around 10 mods. I think it took ~25 seconds to launch 0.19.

Will KSP have physical store-bought copies after release?
Blinkin replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I prefer a physical copy always above a digital download. Why? Because I play games 10 years after the were released (e.g. the Age series, Black & White, Robbin Hood Legend of Sherwood, etc). Also I don't like the idea of paying for something really awesome which might not exist anymore after 7 years... and with a digital download.. well you can't do much about it when it's gone. A physical copy allows me to backup the disk(s) and ensure me that I still can play it after all those years, which I still do with the above named titles. Besides this: KSP rocks! I would love a nice boxed collectors edition just because I love KSP, I love collecting and Squad deserves the money for it! ;D -
Nice, I'm looking forward to BXSS.

Reply · 2 navyrayne 7 hours ago Let's just say, it's time for new things.
Old versions of KSP (some versions still wanted!)
Blinkin replied to xorg's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Damn I started with KSP a few weeks after the site/forum was launched. I don't even know how I discovered ksp... But I kept the old versions because I like collecting stuff even when you don't do a thing with it. Around 0.11 I just deleted those old versions for no reason... but I still kept the next versions after it. (except 0.12 for some unknown reason). Now I see that 0.8.3 is missing I'm like 'why did I do that?!'. I know the paid version can't be shared, not going to request them either. But it's fun to see those 0.14, 0.14.2 and 0.14.4 zips in my ksp folder. It reminds me to the testing releases Squad had at that time. It's great to remember both the fun and the chaos on the forums with all those bug reports way back then. Oh and thanks everyone for sharing there old zips. Now I've almost got my old collection back. Plus some builds from before I discovered ksp. This is going to be fun! ^^ Edit: I still have all the custom parts I downloaded. I see I have parts dating from July 2011. Good old times! Edit 2: I also found 3 of the pre-versions of the Kerbal theme that one of the devs posted long time ago (I think HarvesteR?). I've 'kerbalTheme1', 'kerbalTheme2' and 'kerbalTheme2_2' all three in mp3. The files dates are 29 November 2011. Could I share that? Or does that break ©? -
Holy kerbal! Rareden this is freaking amazing! I love it!

Stupid questions don't exist, only stupid answers. I hope this isn't a stupid answer. It's not exactly the same thing as a .cfg edit but it's very close to it. I think this is still the best way, works like a charm for me (I haven't used any of the parts in this new version yet).
-
Great thanks for the update. I'm still struggling on how to build my base, I guess I'll have to keep practising.

Original KSP parts. (Updated July 31, 2013)
Blinkin replied to Fiddlestyx's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Aah lovely! -
Wow nice flags here, I think I want them all! Too bad I'm not that good with photoshop, well not with logo's. I still tried something funny though.
-
Aah great to see this back on the forums. Looking forward to the next update.

[1.0.2] TAC Self Destruct v1.5.1 [13May]
Blinkin replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Nice, I remember we had something like this for 0.14... it was named 'Oi3_TNTPack_v0.3.1'. Would it be possible to add a countdown timer just like that plugin? So you can set a delay in the config and for example activate it before you decouple a empty stage. -

I think we'll be hearing new sound effects en music in the coming update. Why? Because they put that on the planned features list. http://kspwiki.nexisonline.net/wiki/Planned_features Entries in Blue are planned for the next update (soon)...
