  1. (absolutely nothing in my clipboard)
  2. Hi McCoy! Nice to have you with us. I for one would much prefer to have a picture and maybe a link to the actual craft file, if that's OK?

    Hi?

Welcome, Aziz. Your signature is very kerbal
  4. Haha, this gets better and better. Jeb's face as he plays this out - priceless! I note with some interest that the Kranefly's engines are more efficient than the M7's
  5. Just for the record, that was a complete coincidence - I hadn't actually seen this thread at that point
  6. How long does it take you to make these, Kuzzter? I would imagine that it all depends on the content, but I'm referring to the actual artwork, aside from gameplay?
  7. The part with the Mk 1 inline cockpit really made me laugh. They had mentioned it before, but I didn't actually expect it to happen, so kudos to you for that one.
  8. Haha, good call! Sorry if I appeared nitpicky, I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something I should know. For the record, your original idea of having all the former KSC staff disguised as the tourists would have been perfect and would have made it all clear, even though the real tourists were great fun
  9. That was glorious! The unnamed guy who licks the markers is now one of my favourite characters. But the new information means Werner wasn't only in on the plan - he appears to actually be the mastermind behind it; moving the M7 to a launchpad so far away must have been done whilst the Humlebee crew were still in hibernation and unaware of all the administrational changes, correct? So I'm still a bit confused why Jebediah, Bill, Val and Lisa arranged the flagpole spectacle, unless it was a ploy to get Jebediah in a plane...? Am I missing something? Oh, and I loved the pause for dramatic dialogue
  10. I would by no means consider myself a seasoned or particularly skilled writer, but I think there are a few general points that haven't been made yet. One of these is the challenge of emergent storytelling - I'm not sure how far you all go with this, but I'm sure the best stories out there are the ones that have a fair measure of forward planning and mental storyboarding. Take Parkaboy's Plan Kappa, for example; he obviously has put some thought into the back story and the sudden appearance of the future characters. In Eve Order Zero, Kuzzter planned all along for the wonderfully-named Atmosferkdipperkraft (excuse the spelling) to crash-land on Eve. The entire series is named after the "General Order Zero" that Bill just invented. None of this is a bad thing. Indeed, it makes for a well-thought-out story and an entertaining read. The challenge comes in that most of us then write as we go along, with some decisions and mistakes along the way. But what's written is written, and there is no going back. In my case, Ascent and I (who are two different people, if you hadn't caught on yet) have a strict rule of no reverts, no respawns. This makes for a very entertaining game because there is a real element of risk, but also a genuine feeling of fear, because mistakes have real consequences. When Valentina died, I was genuinely upset, which of course has to be reflected in the story somehow. But then comes the real challenge: emergent storytelling inherently means you don't know what's coming next. We can spend time building characters, but what if they suddenly die in a stupid accident?
  11. I agree with Kuzzter, the letters were a nice touch and far less boring than a report about all those similar launches. One thing bothers me though: by launching from the runway, you bypass your own limitations. Surely the runway would also need refurbishing - probably even more than a launchpad designed for such stresses?
  12. Haha, for once, Mort is actually right Nevertheless: Boooooo I would actually like to register a complaint about this story, Kuzzter: This happens much too often:
  13. Thanks for the clarification! It's useful that any possible mishaps or issues the crew will have to deal can be blamed on Mort's modifications Oh, and BOOOOOOOOOO! HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
  14. I gotta wonder whether this is all part of the plan... Who would ever suspect that Val and Lisa are in on it now that they "exposed" Bill's attempt? Edit: Oh, and the tourists are just perfect - - - Updated - - - Up until now, I thought the Billmobile/Mortingale was the payload of the M7, but looking back a couple of pages, I realise I wasn't paying enough attention and they are two completely different craft. Are we allowed to know what modifications were made from Bill's original design?
  15. I'm surprised the "do you really want to know? I'll tell you" line didn't give it away to you guys
  16. Surely we can't compare two stories just because they are both comics? That's like comparing a Tesla Model S with a Renault Twizzy just because they are both electric...oh wait, they did actually print a comparison of those two vehicles... Anyway, my point is both stories are awesome in their own right. For the record, the Twizzy is NOT awesome... so maybe that wasn't the best comparison...
