Well if we're gonna argue about the EULA, lets go do that in that thread kids. There's enough spam being thrown around, let's try to keep it contained. This thread is about what KSP is actually sending out to Squad/TT, not what you have agreed to let them do.
-
The "words" on the left of the coloumns are the variable names, the values on the right are their, well values. Does ANY of it look like personal info at all to you? It's written out in English.
-
So @Sarbian, That's no name, nor address, nor any personal info at all, beyond OS it seems.... Just the fact the game is running, and on what platform? Am I correct there?

Since when has TakeTwo become the evil overlords from the dark realm? Christ people. Calm the hell down and wait for an official comment. Then you may panic.
-
Unless you join the faceless ones, you will always have your identity at the end of the day. It's just that someone else may too.
-
We don't know this yet. We are (assuming) that KSP is sending data out. We don't know what it is yet. Seeing as to where it is going, people are making assumptions as to what the data contains. We do know what we have agreed to in the EULA. We don't know if that's what they are actually doing. Until Squad has confirmed exactly what they are sending, inciting a riot will not do anybody any good. We all just need to calm down a bit and be patient.

CKAN (The Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network); v1.28.0 - Dyson
Gargamel replied to politas's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The folder is not in KSP. It's in the path listed in the quote. But all folders have the applicable perms. -
Because of powered paragliding?

CKAN (The Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network); v1.28.0 - Dyson
Gargamel replied to politas's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Even after creating the folder previously, I added 2 new mods today, and it threw this error again. Manually adding the folder fixed it, again. Adding and removing previously cached/installed mods did not trigger this error. EDIT: Adding this comment to the bug tracker. -
How do the v1.4 & DLC engines rank against our old favorites?
Gargamel replied to Cunjo Carl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I may be 40, but I still giggled like a 13 year old at that. -
Those are two different assumptions. Your first comment was if disconnecting the computer from the internet would prevent it from talking to the internet. I said yes. Your second comment is that it only transmits only when KSP is running. To that, I have no idea.
-
Well, I need a new computer. Not that this one is that old, but If I want to play KSP, I usually plan on doing something else while it's loading. Like making dinner, or going on vacation. And then I leave it running in the background. I've done real time Munar missions.

Short of a sledgehammer to the CPU, that would be the nuclear option, yes.
-
What I find most disturbing about this thread, is not the subject matter. It's the reactions and words of a lot of what I normally consider upstanding members of our community. Let's all back off for a bit and relax, shall we? The OP presented a question, and a couple other posts have presented supporting data. Other than that, this thread has spiraled out of control. We need to wait till @SQUAD( @UomoCapra @Darth Badie ) make their statement. Until then, It is nothing other than supposition and accusations.
-
Sorta LOL. They said it's coming, but I don't believe they've said when. Check the dev notes/blogs.
-
Yeah, it's only rocket science.

There was a snafu with the forums over the past 24 hours. Might be related to that. Try re-enabling them, if not, bug report?

[1.4]Temporary Mk1-3Pod IVA Fix(Defunct as of 1.4.1)
Gargamel replied to Rocket In My Pocket's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can't help ya there RIMP, but I am here to give the award for the Most useful mod with the shortest lifetime. Congrats. Nice fix btw. -
Color me not surprised.
-
It was addressed, by a number of mods. The game was never intended to have autopilots, or calculators doing the readouts. That was Harvester's idea, and it's stuck through the versions. I think @GoSlash27 was the one who said the game should be played as much in a spreadsheet as in the game itself. Is it so hard to learn to do some math? If you don't like that style of game play, the availability of a number of mods to alter your game play experience are easily and readily available for your consumption. And that's what makes this game great.

Kerbal Space Program update 1.4 Grand Discussion thread.
Gargamel replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I've had that capability since at least 1.2.1, so no. Not really, after clicking it, I couldn't reply to a post till now. -

Kerbal Space Program update 1.4 Grand Discussion thread.
Gargamel replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Discussion
@JPLRepo, Can't see what you posted, permission denied. I feel so insignificant now.... -
Having just started my first foray into 1.3.1 (Kinda the OP of this thread), I must say @linuxgurugamer the work you have done on some of my favorite mods, is spectacular. I was playing with old versions for 1.2, and the updates, visual and gameplay, are amazing. So thank you for your work. Eh, I guess you could drop the everything else.... It would be weird hearing a NB soundtrack...... but yeah.....
