  1. My thoughts exactly, The modern human is a self absorbed borderline sociopath (largely thanks to the Tavistock institute) We struggle to coexist on the same planet, let alone in the same house
  2. I can see it being integrated into various design and rendering packages, they already have tablet and pen support so this seem like a natural progression to me. If it really works well it could simplify CAD significantly Um.... I don't really want to go there, I'm already on the "watch list" round here
  3. Just about everything believed by the majority is an outright lie
  4. Changing the throttle is a command that requires an antenna which one did you put on? because most require deploying before they work, it's been a while since I used remotetech but there should be one that's always on and wont get destroyed during flight. That one is used for the launch then you will have to change to a longer range antenna in space, also keep in mind that without a satellite relay network you will lose control on the backside of the planet. EDIT thanks for the pic, not too sure about that particular antenna but it looks like it isn't deployed, did you try the activate button?
  5. That would be more consistent with previous practices, seemed a little too good to be true.
  6. It's a mod called remotetech that comes as part of realism overhaul, you can't operate unmanned craft without antenna, there should be some new antennas available including one short range antenna that can be used during launch without the need to deploy it.
  7. lol, strange life, strange hobbies. You really don't want to know, nothing illegal exactly, but would take a lot of explaining and introduction to a world most of you know nothing about
  8. I could definitely imagine that happening, just upgrade to the new windows 10 ultimate package to turn off the ads. actually windows 10 is bucking the microsoft trend in that it will be free! so they claim anyway forgive me micro$oft but I have my doubts
  9. I get the impression from the video that it does work with the kinect, the scene where the woman modifies the bike fuel tank seems to imply that. Although we all know to take marketing video's with a big pinch of salt. - - - Updated - - - hehehe, they don't show what happens when there's a holographic blue screen could be nasty
  10. Windows 10 will come with holographic technology support through the new holo-lens device All those years of science fiction holographic interfaces is finally over, and it's now a reality! check out the video here: http://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-hololens/en-us think what this will mean for modelling software like mudbox, z-brush, 3ds max, speedtree etc. it really has got me quite hyped!
  11. I'm sure there should be some kind of forum rules against posting a Russ Abbot song still...at least it wasn't the birdie song
  12. True, not 'out' as such, but it's easy to forget as the alpha / beta is far more polished than the majority of AAA releases.
  13. What to buy depends on what you want to use it for. If KSP is going to be the only game you play then get something cheap that will run KSP well like a GTX 750 Ti (good budget card), 1GB VRAM will certainly be enough for KSP, not sure about after it switches over to the unity 5 engine though, vram requirements will probably go up as more will be done on the graphics card. If you want to run other new games then 1GB is really the bottom end and will run most modern games but only just, 2GB is now standard, for future proofing you will need at least 3GB of VRAM. The main reason VRAM doesn't get discussed around here much is because KSP has a lot lower requirements on that score than most other current games, unity 4 doesn't use much in the way of graphics card features.
  14. Nothing, I was doing the money grind to get the third tier research lab but got annoyed with parts resizing so I'm waiting for a tweakscale fix.
  15. Didn't work for me, I have a spaceplane that the intakes won't stay resized on, the root is the cockpit, default size, I tried adding a probe core making that the root and putting the intake on again but when I get to the runway all the intake are back to their default size. hope someone comes up with a fix soon as the scaling issues are messing up most of my craft atm.
  16. Try this mod, it allows you to set whatever time acceleration for specific altitudes you want. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/69363-0-25-Time-Control-9-23-14-v13-2
  17. Revert to launch....otherwise known as the make weird stuff happen to my spacecraft button
  18. hehe me too. I still think his sideways plane landing on Duna is the most epic thing I've ever seen!
  19. Congrats on the job Biotronic, no worries, real life comes first glad to hear your still working on this mod as it's one of my favourites
  20. Out of fuel 150m/s shy of my return burn after landing on Bop, Jeb had to get out and push.
  21. I'm starting to get worried this is abandoned, it's been a long while since any updates or word from the author. and I'm sorry to say that it seems lots of people are having issues with it, myself included. Sometimes resized parts scale back to their original size between SPH and runway or VAB and pad, attachment nodes move to the wrong places sometimes when using symmetry with rescaled parts. I really hope this isn't abandoned or that someone will try and iron out these bugs that have cropped up in the latest version as it's one of the more essential mods.
  22. I don't have the resources to run Astronomer's latest pack either, so I'm still running his previous edge of oblivion pack, still available on the same page as his latest pack and working fine with 0.90. http://kerbal.curseforge.com/ksp-mods/220335-astronomers-visual-pack-interstellar-v2 Also active texture managment is essential, I use the x86 basic version. It takes ages to run the first time but it's worth it.
  23. When you do get around to looking at the balance can you have a look at the weight of the stack decouplers? I'd like to use the KW Rocketry ones but it's hard to justify using them because they're 5 times heavier than the stock ones.
  24. Judge for yourself http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/26-421-1 this was the next version note the first line in the changelog http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/26-853-1?lX_z_E
