  3. The wings with built in control surfaces can't be configured on FAR, so I can't set the front wings to be ailerons, the back wings to be elevators and the vertical tail wing to be rudder.
  4. FAR sorta eliminates the need for asparagus staging. My standard 2-side tanks asparagus staging rocket was able to reach Minmus with 25% fuel on the second stage left.

  9. Design, Build, Test, Fine tune, Test, Fine Tune, etc. In some cases ideas get completely scrapped and the whole process starts again.

  13. What I do atm is the following: -I look at the estimated burn time. -If it's possible to half it exactly, I start the burn at half the time before the node. (2min30sec for 5 min for example.) -If the number ends up having decimal points when halved. (7.5sec for 15sec for example), I round it to the next lower number. -In true fashion, I add 3 seconds to the time so I can thrust up to 100%. The burns work, but theyre not really 50/50 time wise. They're more like 85/15 burn or less.
  14. With some tweaks(altering the surface control details on FAR) I can bring the Heinlein up to 24 Km...then it falls back to the ground.

  16. Actually, with better construction, true gravity turns and FAR, that rocket can reach Minmus with 30%-40% fuel on the second stage remaining. ATM I'm preparing to circularize the Minmus orbit and still have about 20% fuel on the second stage. As for tweaking the ASAS values, I have no idea how to do it or even how much I should alter those values.
  17. I don't know if there is a tutorial on it already, but as I'm trying to do them for longer burns IU get confused. How you calculate them? I tried doing them, the maneuvers work, but it's not really a 50/50 burn as most of it is completed before the node passes.
  18. The right one? I mean you can control JKLI with your index, middle and ring fingers and HN with your pinky from your left hand, just like you do with WASD QE and Shift and Ctrl.
  19. So far, I removed the fins and placed the tanks closer using the small low profile radial decouplers. Now I can use ASAS to hold the rocket in position as I do the gravity turn. Now to find the problem with ASAS and planes.
  20. I need to change my designs now tham I'm using FAR entirely, since it doesn't like asparagus staging.
