  4. i think the values are misleading. i have one rocket tank and two pure fuel tanks on this, so the LF value is higher.
  5. sure: http://www.umluex.at/files/DaFraunz.zip just pull up to 10km, slowly level down until 20km, then build up speed and height. it is easily capable of 30km+ and 2000m/s+ on jets alone if you throttle down a bit. hit 1 to shut down jets and fire up the spike.
  6. at least i have a working design now next step is to add a docking port and some 1man cans to make it a crew shuttle
  7. it is one flight but i came in to steep and used the jets on my KSP approach -> more LF used.
  8. haha you're right it looks like the wing is missing! but its only the angle of view.
  9. i always struggled with spaceplanes. every time i over engineered them, used too many mods, prioritized looks over function... today i started my ksp and just threw together some stock parts. i didn't even check COM and COL.... and it worked like a charm. it flew like an angel and reached orbit with 3/4 oxidizer left! SIMPLE IS BEST, FOLKS!

  11. could you use your voluminetric clouds to simulate the vapor on the cold tanks you often see on rockets pre launch? i think that would be very cool
  12. thanks... i do like the waste heat system in general. i just don't want to loose all my probes i launched before using KSPI.. maybe i'll stick to the older version a little longer until i work something out or replace the probes.

  14. using this mod with several other reduced texture packs.. now i can run B9, KWR, KAS, KSPX, KSPI, Kethane, SpaceShuttleEngines and several others without hitting the memory limit. can't find parts in the VAB anymore because there are soo many now, but i love it
  15. sooo... i am still working with the old version where i can delete the additions folder so my solar panels wont generate waste heat. if i upgrade now.. all my older solarpowered crafts without radiators will overheat. is that correct?
  16. do you need FAR for the example crafts? i tried to fly the Atlantis B and always got into a flatspin after reentry.. or am i simply unable to fly

  18. two Eve one-way probelander (land and sea, small parachute is enough in this thick atmosphere) and gilly sample return (harder to reach, easy to land). its easy to reach, aerobraking is possible and gives a neat amount of science.
  19. there should be an option to downgrade reactors if it isn't too much work.
