  1. Don't be silly, they did it at night. You don't need high temprature tolorance for that
  2. I do that sometimes to. Playing to long with mods makes you forget what is stock and what isn't
  3. Broken solar panels are shatterd. All parts floating away. You can't just glue those back thougether
  4. SAS is advanced software. You need some upgrades to develop AI to do what a pilot can
  5. Alternatively, if you want to copy the wings for later use, you have to use the sub assambly system. Open the sub assambly map (in the parts), and select the part of the wings that's attatched to the main plane. Drag that to the box at the bottom of the sub assambly map. This will prompt you to give it a name. You can now select this group of parts from there to use on any new craft
  6. Really? Well never mind that than. Now that I think off it, I did indeed always have an 'active' relay in orbit. Never actually used the junk I sent up for contracts
  7. Yea but than you'd have to go through 2 loading screens every time you want to check where you're done. As for the OP: If you want a simple mod that gives the different antennas a use, I recomend Antenna Range mod Nice and simple
  8. Personally I always put a big antenna on the statelites, to acts as relays for AntennaRange mod, and than designate them as debris, so they don't show up
  9. I asume that your problem is that there's to much torque to be able to properly control the final satelite? Capslock will turn on fine control, which should fix that problem for you. If THAT is not enough... well you'll have to add weight I'm afraid. More mass means slower rotation. Or you could turn off the reaction wheels completely and rely on engine gimbal to steer As for the 48-7S: If your ships are so small that the smallest reaction wheels are already to strong, than the smaller engine is indeed going to help alot. The 909 weighs 10 times more than the 48. On tiny ships, that can really make a big difference in deltaV
  10. Not really, they have mapped out the orbits in real life and can predict it with computers. Anyway, interesting bug. First time I've seen this one. Also welcome
  11. Depends on what you bring, and how efficient you are. Newer players are usually less efficient, and thus need to bring more fuel, and thus more mass. Science parts also add mass, and mass to left that mass, ect
  12. Not if you leave at the right time. The Mun won't catch up to you in a single orbit if you arive in the orbit just behind it, giving you more than enough time to get the orbit right
  13. The achievement contracts are the 'main quest' of KSP
  14. Definitly LKO. Refeuling stations are very usefull. For example, you can send up your interplanetery rockets empty. And thus way lighter. This means it's much easier to send up, and thus your rockets can be much bigger. You can than fill up the rocket at the station. It's also a good idea to set up a fuel mining station (with Karbonite or Kethane) on the Mun or Minmus, and ferry fuel from there to the refeuling station. Once everything is set up, that's MUCH easier than trying to launch a crapton of fuel into orbit. Refeuling station can also serve as a base to dock ships in conctruction to. So you can send up your interplanetery crafts in modules. Combined with sending up the rockets empty, and there is no limit to how big you can make your rockets O and it should be attended. With a snack bar
  15. Not that troublesome. Just send it while the mun is on the oposite side as it would be if you actually tried to get to the Mun
  16. Your Kerbals take 30 kg dumps? What do you feed them?
  17. If you don't know how old your quicksave is, than what the hell are you doing quickloading anyway? Asume it's useless, and ALWAYS QUICKSAVE before you do something that might need to be quickloaded out of later
  18. We need something like this http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/73005
  19. Right, so someone else loaded something without ever having saved, and that's NOT that person's fault. Makes sense
  20. All the framework is now done, Beta is about all the fancy things
